Can't install my canon ip90v printer does not recognise my usb port on my laptop, my system is vista premium

Turn every thing off including the printer and the computer. then turn on the PC then turn on the printer then plug in the printer after it is on.

Re-install your printer software completely... after that you may ready to use... thanks

might lost from the registry. chk the drivers and either rollover or reinstall. unless you need to reinstall the System.

On Canon's support page for this printer PM210 Support there are 3 different driver files available. One is for XP and Vista 32-bit systems, one for XP 64-bit systems, and one for Vista 64-bit systems. If you know what system you have select it in the drop down menu and download and install it.

You are correct on your deduction.
It is the USB to Parrallel adpter. They are not reliable in the XP/Vista enviroment. I have run into this several times.
