We have a jvc av-27d302 made in 2000 the vchip is locked and we do not have the code, some idiot that stayed as a guest messed with the tv and lost the remote and does not remember the code they put in. Is there a master unlock code for the tv? I am going to get a universal remote. It does not work on any channel except pbs stations all we get is a green lock when we work through the menu to unlock code, because we do not have a code. the tv is a screen with black screen in center on all channels. thank you if you can help or the tv will become a boat anchor.
Go to your menu and turn off the ccd and text modes to remove the box,as for your lock out code try oooo or 9999.
