There is little difference between plants and animals - both are cellular, dependent on water and are carbon-based lifeforms using similar building blocks of life and mostly plants reproduce using male and female interaction even though many are self fertilising and some are self-propagating. Many plants can reproduce in more than one way....
Plants use photosynthesis to convert carbon into sugars where animals have a symbiotic relationship with gut bacteria that breaks down and converts food that has passed through the preparation stages of chewing and being soaked in digestive substances. The gut bacteria release the nutrients we need and these pass through the gut walls.
Plants don't move in the short term but are capable of moving considerable distances through the action of wind, water and animals or birds in a sort of symbiotic way; in a similar way to how they evolve to cope with long term environmental difficulty and changes.
Some plants move by self-reproduction; growing until a part leans over and touches the soil where it will put down roots, eg. brambles...

If this is a serious question, then i shall attempt to answer it. Butterflies help plants by gathering pollen on their bodies and antennae while consuming nectar form a flower (which, incidentally, is how the plant helps the butterfly - by feeding it). The butterfly then flies off to another flower for more food and tranfers the pollen to this plant, enabling pollenization (fertilization) which is how plants produce fruit (which benefits animals like us humans) and create seeds to reproduce. It is win-win-win.
i wish you all the best on your quest for information and philosophising.
