Red Lines on Screen

Any help with what this might be. I uploaded a Photo of TV on my profile screen. Curved red lines across top of screen. And red ghosting at bottom of screen. Appreciate any help. Thanks Dave I have practically the same problem, however I have green lines too. The screen is more distorted and I am wondering on a $900 tv is it worth repairing? What is an estimated cost for repairing this problem?

are the lines slightly curved and go from the botom to top across the screen. If so it sounds like retrace lines from the CRTs being turned up too far. You can add the pic by clicking the camera Icon next to where it says Insert below the text box.

Letters and numbers are 3d and curved picture

Hello

red, green, and blue lines curve across the top of tv is cause by defective convergence STK IC or you have open resistor at convergence section. if you have defective RGB Color vertical ramp probably you have defective STK IC..

Red and green wavy lines

If the distortion that you see can be described as somewhat of a 3-D picture, the problem is teh convergence circuit and this can be fixed easily. Also, if you can solder, you can fix this yourself. If you wish to do this, please update this and I'll provide you with some instructions.

Red Lines on Screen

Dave, HMMMM Dual pictures This is a problem that every projection TV runs into at least once or twice in its lifetime. Its the old convergence IC falure thingy. These IC's go bad and should be replace all at once. These are not consumer replaceable unless you have had training in the electronics or TV repair fields. Please call out a pro to assist you with this repair as A TV is not the place to experiment in because of the HI voltage and saftey issues. Good Luck
