Another vert problem. The only way to fix this is replace the vert output IC and maybe a cap in the waveshaper that made the IC go bad. If you have no electronics experience then i would let a pro do the repair as it should cost more then 125 to 150 bucks or so. Good luck

How to fix olympus fe-340 streak and peaks verticaly when picture taken

Not sure you can fix this, but most of the time the stripes are produced in a dark environment with one or a few bright lights. The streaks start on the bright light. Most of the time if you shoot the picture the streaks are not on the picture.
You could try to switch the camera to the automatic, or perhaps night scene.
If the streaks are there in normal light, I think your camera is defect.

I have an old Sony tv from 1992 and it's image is now compressed verticaly to less than half of original dimension. This 'half image' is distorted to center giving the impression that it's divided...

Vertical out transistors bad solder, or return linearity capacitor bad (a large capacitor, usually between 1000uf and 2200uf.) They're near where yellow and brown wires from picture tube connect to main board. They are larger transistors.

I have an Accurian DVD player and everytime we play a movie the screen goes black off and on. You can hear the sound but can see no picture. Is it toast?

Check it with other dvd disks, might have damage disk like smushes, scratches, cracks in the dvd disk?Might also could be the tv,nothing to do with the DVD player.

Hdtv picture freeze

I also have a Brand new Sony Bravia 52" LCD with Comcast Cable (motorola box). When switching between HD Channels sometimes the left side of the screen shows a smushed version of the new channel, and the right side is a frozen picture of the previous channel. I correct this by switching to a non HD channel and back. Cable or TV problem I wonder?
