Sirs unable to get anser machine to anser more than 4 rings now machine picks up in 4 rings like to have 9 rings or model nimber---29875GE1-B

There is a control on the phone that you can set for a different number of rings before it picks up. Check the manual for location and operation.

Got it, and you can set it for 2, 4, or 6 rings on incoming calls.

1. Press MENU/CLOCK on the base to enter setup.
2. Press MENU/CLOCK repeatedly to select RING TIME.
3. Press VOL:/SELECT to set the number or rings at 2, 4, or 6.
4. Press SET to save the setting.

I am an 83 year pld and I have a ge answering machine and i want to extend the number of rings from 4 to 6

the model number is 29875ge1-b
the serial number is 61794103
it is a digital messaging system

I normaly set all my fax machines on fax only,but I change my incomming ring count to more than 7 rings,but less than 11 rings,this allow you to have time to answer you call before it goes to fax.But you can set it for manual.
Press the "receive mode/resolution button untill it show on the display-manual,fax only or ansering.
Yes you can use the fax and answering machine when you are out of the office.
Set you answering machine to pick up after one ring,the message must not be longer than 15 sec.

if you have an answering machine you need to set the fax to answer after the answering machine picks up for example ansering machine answers after 3 rings set the fax to answer after 5 on the automatic mode. the settings on the fax depends on the model you are looking for so please provide more details for the same.

Telephone wire goes to fax, out to answer machine, Important to set fax on answer machine mode and set the ring count to pick up AFTER the telephone answer machine. Set fax ring count to 5 rings, and answering machine to 3 or 4. When some one calls answer machine or you pick up first, then if no one will leave a msg. fax tones are different than voice tones, they are called CNG tones. Most new fax machine will sense this and if a fax will go to fax only. Ring count is the key. Also you could set fax up for maual mode and would not jump to anser machine or fax till you want.....good luck

Not familar with MNL, does sound like you have the receive mode set to manual. set to auto anser or answer machine. In manual mode the phone will ring until you tell the fax to receive. In auto mode after so may ring which you set, the fax will pick up...

1a] press and hold down STOP/set button and wait for promps.....
ie. press NEXT to change Day stamp and then SET to pick.
ie. press NEXT to change Hour and SET to pick.
ie. press NEXT to change Minute and SET to pick.
1b] press NEXT to pick 1minute allowance recording for recieving messages coming in, or 2 minutes or 3 minutes or 4 minutes. This machine only has 1/2 hour of recording time, so maybe you can 'tell' -record- that and let incoming callers know they have only minutes and machine will automatically shut off and cut them off [hang-up] on them.
2] press and hold down Greeting button and follow promps to change the answering machine voice promps to your own voice. Machine will automatically PLAY BACK your voice, if you don't like what you hear, press and hold down Greeting button again and try again.
