I have misplaced my manual for my Kenmore c120 air conditioner. I have always used it for an air conditioner and would like to use the de humidifier mode. Do I use it exaclty the same way, just change the mode? Is there anything I should be aware of when using this mode?

Well a lesson for you here . the ac mode is a dehumidifer mode .. without a fan to pull the air over the coils to dry it it kinda hard to well .. get it dry. I am not trying to sound wise just a point of learning for you. I thnk you will be fine if you put it in the dehumidifer mode.

Do I need to put water in the De-humidifer

If it's a de-humidifier, it is made to take the water out of the air. Usually you will need to take the water out of the de-humidifier that gets condensed out of the air.

An air humidifier works in the opposite way and would need to have water added to re-humidify the air.

Home has 57% humidity have one on the furnace do I also need a stan alone? my standalone is mod # 853203

An integrated de-humidifier is normally a cycling Air Conditioner. If the one on the furnace has a water line running to it, shut the water off and see what happens.

I have an kenmore elite A100E portable air conditioner. I have two questions; 1- It drains water from the back pipe outlet which makes my floor wet. How to collect this drained water to stop it damaging...

Yes is does work as a dehumidifier, when it's in dehumidifier mode. Using just the AC mode, will slow up the collect ion of water some. However, the tank will still need to be drained occasionally. There are 2 ways to train the tank.

1. In to a low sided pan or bowl, capable of holding at least 1 quart of water.

2. Roll the unit to a floor drain or outside to drain the bucket.

Hope this helps and thanks for choosing FixYa.

How to change or clean the filter and where to download a manual

DeLonghi has the manuals for their portable air conditioners here: http://delonghiusa.com/support/product_manuals/5#table-jump . The direct link to the PAC C120 manual is http://delonghiusa.com/support/sites/default/files/product_manuals/m-PAC+C120.pdf .

Before cleaning, turn off the air conditioner. To clean the filter, pull it straight up from behind the top of the air intake (on the back of the PAC C120). Vacuum off the filter. If it is very dirty, immerse it in warm water and rinse several times. (The water should not above 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees F)) several times. Then allow the filter to air dry. Slide the filter back into the air conditioner and turn the unit back on.

I hope this helps.

Air conditioner shuts down constantly, need to

Sorry but you are just going to have to keep emptying it. These types or air conditioners are also use as de-humidifiers and unless you can place it somewhere where you can connect a drain hose it is going to require many trips to dump the holding tank of the condensation.

Can one disable/turn off the de-humidify function on the LG art cool picture aircon?

Dehumidification is one of the main jobs of an air conditioner. It is not possible to run an air conditioner, and not have it remove humidity. The short answer to your question is no, you can not disable or turn off the "de-humidify" option, as it is not an "option". Hope this helps.

Portable air conditioner - with HUMIDIFYING option

I've actually had a great deal of customers of mine that were interested in a cooling unit that offered a humidifying option. Most of the standard models out on today's market offer the exact opposite. I work for ABS Air Conditioning in Clearwater, Florida. Up until recently, we had not offered such models but due to overwhelming requests we decided to introduce several models to our line, and I must add, with great success. I've built up some personal experience with such units as well as my staff. If you're interested in learning more about the practicality and operation of humidifying units I'd be more than happy to share with you what I know. I can be reached at 727-608-1251
