There's a cut wire you need to bring your vacuum to an electrician to fix it before it start a fire.

This is most likely a clogged inlet, clogged hose, or a clogged filter. Just need to inspect it thoroughly and give it a good cleaning.

Even though the belt is intact it can still be stretched or worn and will not turn the brush on the carpet. Here are the belts you need:

Open the collection area and behind the bag you will find a filter, this needs to be cleaned and that should solve the problem

can you turn the brush by hand? if it turns real freely the belt is broke or the brush siezed up make sure there isn't any carpet strans wrapped around the ends of the brush otherwise the brush won't turn.if its the belt make sure you clean the motor shaft before you put on the new belt,the old rubber from the old belt will make the new belt run unevevly and break again..good luck

If the belt has melted then there's something obstructing between the brush, belt and dust channel. Check that the endof the brush roll is completely clean, check that the brush roll rolls easily with your hand (obviously don't plug it in or switch it on when repairing/inspecting) If you can locate the motor shaft pin make sure that it rolls easily - if not then the motor may have seized up which will need professional repair. Also check that the filters are clean and the hoses are clear.

That is very strange, the parts suppliers list it, but Dirt Devil have no reference. I would contact Dirt Devil and ask why? There is a model M82700 but it is a cylinder vac. All the parts are here, but the wheel and screws are obsolete. So if the screw holds the wheel and then loosens up, remove the screw, clean the threads and apply Red Loctite. It will stop the screw from loosening. If that doesn't work, get some Liquid Metal, mix it and press it into the hole, grease the threads WELL, and screw the screw in. See picture for details. It is unnecessary to remove the roller brush to clean it. The picture will show you how to do but not all vacuum cleaners will have a line where to cut. In this case, you can still use a utility knife just be more cautious where your cutting and not too deep. Make your cuts on both sides of the roller. If you still need to pullout the roller brush, don’t worry too much about pulling it out strait. Pull one end slightly, do the other end in the same way until it comes out.
