After all of the cycles

Hi

If the water inlet valve is fine and it fills with water then the issue seems to be with the float switch assembly that is bad and should be replaced. Float assembly is found inside the dishwasher's tub, on the bottom. The water that fills the dishwasher lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, it acts as a trigger for the float switch. The float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher. A defective switch may interfere with dishwasher's filling and/or draining ability. Use voltmeter to test the switch. Set the device to the ohms setting x 1. Take each probe and touch them to one switch terminal each. This should produce a reading of either zero or infinity. Continue to touch the probes to the terminals, and press down on the switch's button. The reading should change to the opposite extreme. If the switch fails either of these tests, you should replace it. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Hightemp light flashing

Hi
To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry or Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry, Hi Temp Scrub, energy saver dry. Now let the unit run for 2-3 minutes and then you press the Cancel/Drain button and allow it to completely drain and reset. If this doesn't work then it's an issue with the wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. You'll have to check the heater using a multimeter; the meter should read between 3000 to 3300 ohms (Use multimeter on Rx1 ohm setting). If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Have you checked that the filters on the hose inlets are clear? Turn off water and undo hose to check, there is a small filter in the inlet. Have you checked that the outlet hose and trap is clear and that it can pump the water out? Have you cleaned all filters? The noise could be the pump blocked or unable to empty.

I have a model du1145XTPQ dishwasher. I doesn't

The dishwasher has a float switch which detects if the dishwasher is filled. If the travel of the float is not sufficient it may be triggering early and causing the inlet valve to shut. Also see page 21 in the user manual "dishwasher will not fill".

See this diagram for the water inlet circuit. The other possibility is the inlet hose is blocked. I am assuming the water inlet tap under the sink is fully open.

Please post a comment to indicate if this helped or not.

I have a whirlpool had a tech come out to look at

I found the same part listed at pcappliancerepair.com for about $15.

You have to remember that repair technician fees include the diagnostic charge (diagnoses of your problem), the labor charge (to install the part - which is usually a set fee set by the company they work for) and the cost of the part. $65 dollars for a COMPLETE repair job is not a bad price. However, if he is charging you $65 for just the bi-metal (fuse), then you would be better off ordering the part and installing it yourself. This is not a difficult repair and can be accompished by any do-it-yourselfer with a little guidance.

If you need further assistance, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

I have a whirlpool had

Did he say it would be $65 for the fuse or for the fuse and labor?

If he's charging $65 for just the fuse then he's ripping you off. If his quote includes labor, then it's a fair price as the tech will have made 2 visits to you.

If you're unhappy with his price for the fuse and you are CERTAIN this part will solve your problem, you could buy the fuse and fit it yourself if you are competent - or pay a different tech for fitting only, with the part supplied by you.

Hope this helps.

After starting dishwasher to do

Hi

Please check if the clean light is blinking 7 times. If yes then please reset the power to the dishwasher. After, 5 minutes check if you are still getting the same error. If yes, then it is a water heating fault. To resolve this error try pressing this reset sequence-- Heat Dry - Normal - Heat Dry - Normal or High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry.

If this doesn’t work then its an issue with the heater circuit, door switch, wash pump not pumping the water past the heater efficiently or due to lack of water to heat. Please make sure that heater is not open circuited and is heating the water efficiently. If heater is fine then make sure water pressure is optimum and fill valve is working fine.

Please post back for further assistance.
