Hi Lucille,
NO This model does not have a water filter. You will need to complete disconnect the ice maker and clean it out. Then remove and flush the fill tube. If ice still appear dirty, you may to replace the water valve, the water tube and the ice maker too. I will link the parts needed and see the repair video on how to access them. https://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-whirlpool-icemaker-kit-4317943-ap2984633.html

I think the model number is ED2KVEXVB00. Most Whirlpool appliance model numbers end in digits, not letters. SearsPartsDirect has the parts lists here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/model/50z7if8ddb-001198/whirlpool-ed2kvexvb00-side-by-side-refrigerator-parts . Another source for the parts is https://www.partselect.com/Models/ED2KVEXVB00/ . There are probably others.

I hope this helps.

There a few things it could be?

A blockage in the drain hose.

A worn impeller in the pump

A failing motor on the pump.

The styrofoam is the insulation between the inner plastic surface and the outer metal surface.

Airflow is created by the internal fan. The cold air drops down from the freezer above. The foam surrounded channel is usually in the rear wall.

In all probability this could be a program malfunction. You can try to run in manual mode that is selecting one function only in one time. If it still persists then requires some module or board change.

Where the power cord goes into the washer is a small box called a line filter. It is there to protect the electronics in the control. It might be that the line voltage filter has failed. Remove the rear panel on the control to access it. Calypso Service Manual

The control & pump you have is no longer being made. (It hasn't been made for well over 5 years)
Your new system will include the following items:
· New Pump
· AirStreme Control box and topside control
You will change out everything from the old system with the new system.
The new topside panel replaces the one on the top of the bathtub and the pump will hook up to the same plumbing as the old one.
No cutting PVC pipe to get this installed.
