My Insignia CD player says there's no disc when there is.

Try a lens cleaner. Also, ensure that your disks are clean. If you're playing CD-Rs, make sure that the disks have been finalized properly. If the problem persists, you may carry the unit in to the place of purchase to pursue service options.

Try restoring the unit to factory defaults by inserting a thin tool (e.g. an unbent paper clip) into the reset port. A schematic of your player can be found in the owner's manual. If the reset procedure doesn't remedy the problem, I recommend returning with the unit to the place of purchase to pursue service options.

Insignia mp3 player is not working on my computer

First, reset your player using a paper clip into the reset port. A manual is available at InsigniaProducts.com (under the Support tab) that includes a schematic of the player. Also, make sure that the player is fully charged and ensure that you have the preferred software installed (available at the provided link). If these steps don't resolve the issue, you should return to the place of purchase to pursue service options.

Computer won't recognize the device

Hello,

the problem is from the MP3 player.

There is a fault on the program of the Mp3.

If there is any repair store in your location, maybe you should take it there so that the programs on it can be reinstalled.

Or betters till, maybe you should just get another MP3 player.

Best wishes.

How many songs can I expect to load on the 2gb Insignia

It should be able to collect about 666 songs if the song's size is 3mb.

To calculate it your self; 2gb is the same as 2000mb. So divide 2000 by 4 or 3 depending on the size of the song and this would give you the exact amount.

Take for example, if the songs are 4MB, then you would divide 2000MB(2GB) by 4 which will give you 500. That's it would take 500 songs if the songs are 4MB each.

Take care.

I have a Insignia CE1177 that is frozen.

there's a little rubber cover on the back just above the word insignia. use something sharp to pry it off. remove the small phillips head screw. grab the tabs on the sides and pull the back off. the two wires of the battery are connected to a small plug. unplug the battery and then plug back in. this cuts the power and acts as a reset. should solve the freeze problem

  • Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer’s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.
  • Try resetting the device it’s usually a small pinhole on the back or side of the device try holding that in for about 10 seconds.
