hi, did you get your problem solved? I just bought it today, and had the exact problem.

im having some problems whit my insignia kix player it is stuck on making playlist an will not move can you help me email me at [email protected]

To charge your player, turn your computer on and connect the player with a USB cable. More details can be found in the owner's manual.

To erase all files on your player, go to Now Playing, then Audio, then System, then Erase All and select Yes. Make sure that your files are backed up before you begin! If needed, you can find a copy of the owner's manual here.

Remove the back and check and see if the battery has dislodged

Windows 7 has improved the handling of portable devices in that it no longer "caches" files to write. Once a transfer dialog closes in Windows 7, it has finished communicating with the device and it is safe to remove at that time.

It may not be anything you are doing wrong. You will have to see how your player is seen buy your computer. Go to your control panel -> System -> device manager --> Look for your player there, does it show up as a Portable Device? NOTE: The player should show up on the Device Manager's right pane as:
1. USB Mass Storage device (if the player is set to MSC)
2. Portable Device (if the player is set to MTP mode.) It should sync with Media player if it shows up as a Portable device - but if it shows up as a Mass storage device all you have to do is drag and drop what you want into the right folder on the player.

Perhaps go to "My computer" and find it on that page. If you pugged it in , in a USB port then it should be there. Hope this helps. :)

go to your settings on the ipod and click on volume control and you should be able to gett it up higher

ok try to format via a cp the device
be sure to use fat while doing so..

try using another usb port my macbook sometimes doesn't recognize my USB ports.

Or you could use parallels and run windows

Just plug it into the computers USB socket and copy the music in it. ;-)
