You'll more than likely have to purchase an update software for your GPS system or even try using the disk that came with your unit if applicable. If not you could always connect your unit to a computer to see if updates will install or refer the manual which came with your unit. Last resort try calling the company to see if you can get any info.

you need to have it hooked up to XP service pack 2 or above or the computer
wont see it. if your running XP or better, try a different USB port, preferably one on the
back of the computer.

assuming you have the 2200 as listed in your category, depending when your 2200t was made, it could either have a push type (one you would use a paper clip to reset) or a slide switch.

both are located in the same position (on the left side, bottom under the flap right under the sd card slot)

turn on the gps till you get to the warning screen, then reset it.

if its is the early model with the slide switch, youll have to move it back to the other position and restart it..

if that fails, i would try the latest update, well actually i would install the update either way, whether the reset works or not.

this is actually a very common problem with these magellan power ports...they are poor quality from the factory and always and i mean always fail..the new ports that you find on ebay are 100% better then the factory port.

if your able to replace that power port yourself, you can get one HERE, if not, ask the fellow that sells them for help.

check the reset button to make sure its working and not stuck...youll be able to tell if it clicks. if you know what i mean.

assuming you have the 2200 as listed in your category, depending when your 2200t was made, it could either have a push type (one you would use a paper clip to reset) or a slide switch.

ost times not turning on is because the battery is flat or dead. Connect it to a USB charger or and AC charger and leave it for an hour to see if there is any recovery.

If it does not have it taken to a service centre to have the charge circuit checked and a new battery.
