Haier HWR08XC1 Thru-Wall/Window Air Conditioner Questions & Answers
My unit wasnt working right
Two things generally cause this problem. High outside humidity and a clogged air in take filter. Allow the unit to thaw completely, remove the air intake filter and clean it. Allow the filter to completely dry, before reinstalling. Never operate the AC unit without the filter in place. In addition. the unit may not have enough downward tilt at the rear. Generally 1/4" to 1/2" is required. so water will flow to the rear of the unit to the drain hole.
Hope this helps and thanks for choosing FixYa.
Can the fan blade be easily remove on an Haier
Check and make sure the set screw is tight. Sometimes the screw will loosen and cause the problem you are describing.
However, to get the blade off - take out the set screw - spray some WD-40 in the hole - getting as much on in the hole (and on the shaft) as possible. Work the blade on the motor shaft (use a crescent to turn the shaft within the hub of the blade) and it should slide off the shaft.
If the blade is rusted on the shaft - do the above - but let it sit (with WD-40 on it) for awhile, i.e. several hours or even overnight if possible.
Note: sometimes there is a little disassembly (of the unit) you have to do to work the blade out.
Haier mini split E7 and exterior fan not working
On a Haier Split system a E7 error is a failure of the outdoor inverter PCB and the outdoor power supply PCB. Both will need replacing. Looking around $600 for those parts. Plus fitting. The indoor PCB is very unlikely to be needed.
Where is the drain hole
Hello, some window units do not have a drain hole for the condensate, instead the use the fan blade to sling the water on the condenser, since the condenser is warm/hot it will evaporate the condensate.
