Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off.
I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with
the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the
printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

If the thing isn't stopping as it's supposed to after you open it up, you may have a faulty sensor. This is a $150 new printer. If opening it -fully-, pushing back gently but firmly, still doesn't trigger the thing into thinking it's ready for a new ink tank, try yanking the power cable. You can generally also push the carriage, the carrier with the ink tanks, by hand without causing damage. Don't use too much force -- but it should move over about as difficult as a big dictionary across a table.

See this
link. Microsoft acknowledges that Vista may keep some scanners from working (especially since, in your case, the printer
is working). They have made a hotfix available for this issue, but based on the dates, I'm pretty sure this hotfix was incorporated into Service Pack 1. If you don't have SP1, you may want to try downloading and installing it.
Printer is not printing and
best work around for this is to callibrate the printer using the utility it came with through the CD. If that did not work, remove the colored cartridge, then try to force the printer to print black, or you can try to uninstall and reinstall the printer to reset the ink monitor installed on your computer. you may also try to reset the printer by uplugging the power and leaving it off for about 30 minutes.
if you have other issue, just let us know.

Now you can print again, but it has not solved your full ink-tank, that has to be solved in future.

HI
Visit already comes with drivers for the MP370 installed so just plug in your printer and go to contraol panel then printers and your image class mp370 shuld be there and you then set that as a default printer.

The carriage uses a code strip to keep track of its location. This is a very thin and very fragile strip of plastic material behind the carriage. If the code strip becomes dirty with dust or ink overspray, the carriage sensor can't read the code bars, and the printer shows a carriage jam error. This is the most common reason for this error. Very carefully clean the code strip with a clean lint-free cloth (I don't recommend paper towels) with isopropyl or denatured alcohol. You can use a q-tip also. Gently rub the code strip front and back with the alcohol-soaked cloth along the entire length, being careful not to pull the strip since the ends can easily tear. If this does not clear the error, there may be dust or dirt clogging the carriage sensor itself.
Printer problem
This may sound like a stupid question (and if you think so please don't be offended) but it is a problem I have ran into in the past.
The ink cartridges come with a little tab or piece of tape on the bottom of them, have you check to make sure these have been removed? If they have then try to run a diagnostic on the printer (in the software that came with the printer), check print head alignment, try cleaning the print heads. If none of these work let me know.
