i have a few thing to help you with this problem, but first if the monitor old, used a lot or left on all the time than it is time for new on. first right click on screen using the mouse than go down to screen resolution than find the detect button after thats done go to Identify select that one, after you done all that than go to advanced settings and open the folder, than check the adapter, monitor, troubleshoot, color management, than select color management check all settings. 2 way is to go to control panel open color management folder, for your general information for you monitor and other options you mite want to review understanding color management settings find advanced tab find calibrate display, it will run a lot of tests and have you answer some question about visual site and what you like in the settings of the monitor. you mite look in to video card manufacture and see if they have any tools for the drivers game apps or programs that runs other than video card drivers, like i have nvidia video card and i went to there website and downloaded so software, nvidia control panel for gamers, 3d adjusting color settings and video image settings, change the aspect ratio, resulation, refresh rate, lots of tools for games and gamers and i do not play a lot of games but i like to have a lot of option that i would not have had before. thank you rod PS make sure all drivers are up to date you will find it in control panel and than open device manager and find video drives, monitors, display adapter.

check if your system unit is sending signals to the Display unit(Monitor). if not giving signal. check your CPU's Power cable,RAM, blow you system with air gun and turn it on again

the power cord is the same for all makes and models if you have one then i bet it will work on yours

1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor. 2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor. 3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on. 4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works). 5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord. 6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor needs replaced.

get rid of the new installation it is not compatible with your system

Did the problem occur out of nowhere? Is it a new monitor and was like that from the start? Is it an old monitor? Laptop? LCD? There isn't enough information.However, try setting all video settings to default or "recommended". If that doesn't work, be sure your video card and display drivers are updated.

What kind of Laptop?

Be gentle, but apply pressure if needed. The buttons may require you to hold both in, then tilt the screen. Some models have switches, button, or other things to manipulate the tilt. Check the bottom and the back to be sure.

1 - ram
2 - power supply
3 - hard disk
4 - display cards
5 - motherboard
6 - Operating systems

after you have completed the troubleshooting of one by one, your problem must be answered

• First thing to check is cable.

1. Make sure it's seated properly in monitor and computer. If problem persists go to point 2.
2. Test cable in different computer/monitor configuration to make sure cable is OK. If not replace the cable.
3. Test Monitor with different PC if all above fail.

• See if your computer works with any other monitors because if computer is at fault it's a completely different troubleshooting procedure.
