I have had this problem before and found that if I put it on the charger for 20 minutes or so, (no lights), then did a hard reset (press the button on the bottom with a paperclip and hold the power button for 7 seconds) the lights would come on to indicate charging. If not, by now it is old and just may not work anymore. Good luck.

To do a full reset, you hold the calendar and itask buttons (buttons 1 and 4) down at the same time, then insert the stylus into the little hole on the bottom and press gently. Hold all for 4 seconds. The screen should begin to fade. Now release all. If successful, you will not be able to start the machine by pressing the on button. You will have to reconnect to ac power to start it.

Sadly, batteries gets worn out. Especially in old-type PDA's/Smartphones. If you have used this phone for 1 year+, you are probably experiencing these problems because the phone is old, and the battery worn out.

First you have to ensure that the problem is not from the internet connection. Try using the PDA and the same wireless connection to open a different site which is different from the email provider. If the other site opens then you are sure that the problem is from either the phone or the email service provider.
On the other hand if it does not open then this means that the recommended settings which are expected for the PDA to work with the wifi have not been properly set to give the PDA internet access. The device might be connected to the wifi but not connected to access the internet from the device. Try setting up the PDA and this time take care of the settings.

Good Choice but I would check the charger and wire first to make sure it is not on that end

You do not need to use the sandisk wireless card, this Ipaq should have integrated wireless.

Go to HP and download again the WLan driver, that should fix the problem.

If that does not work, ensure that wi-fi is not switched off, and try removing battery to reset the PDA.

Most probably, you are experiencing the mentioned symptoms because the wireless setting for your PDA are not set up correctly.

the answer to your problem is NO.

what you need to do to bring back your system back to life is that you will have to get your self another battery from the store and make sure that the battery is an original from the manufacturing company

please note that it is an inbuilt battery from the manufacturing company

but before that what have happen to the charging system and the changer it self ?are you saying that the charger of small system is bad ! or you can not locate it again
if the charger is in good condition then you will have to follow the above instruction
but your system is in good condition

You must have either ActiveSync (for Windows XP) or WMDC (for Vista and 7) installed on your PC, in order to have your device synchronized. Take a look here, and download and install the program that better suits your needs. Then, connect your device and you will be prompted to set your sync partnership data.

Hello The only thing I can suggest you is to reprogram the device (reflash it with another software) if that does not solve the problem then you have a hardware fault that is preventing it from starting up, I had a h3980 myself many years ago and the screen also went white. please post me the details of your ipaq (please confirm the brand and model and your location? US? EU? Asia? Japan?)

right click on the desktop-graphic option -rotation -from there u can turn on to land scape

my hp5550 when i plug it in some times it start's to boot then it will go to the setup screen telling me to tap crosshair to set it up then it shuts down. it will not charg up the battery. or it will not power up at all

Not sure what you mean. You can use file explorer to browse files.

Sometimes the backup battery has to charge first. Leave it plugged in overnight. If that does not work get a new battery.

You need to go to the HP website and download the Rom update. That should fix it.
