Calibrate the printer.

Go to start ->click Devices and Printers->"Add a printer," click the 'Windows Update' button (B ) in the Add Printer window, and the driver will install as long as you are connected to the Internet.

The latest driver Canon produce for this printer is for Windows XP, you can get it from here:-

I would suggest trying this, if it proves no good, I think you may have trouble finding one for Win7.

Have you installed the driver for this printer in your computer. The driver is in the CD/DVD that came with the printer when you bought. If you have the cd, insert it in the dvd player of your computer and let it play. Just follow the on-screen instructions.

If you don't have the cd with you, just visit the website of canon and you can download the driver from there. Click on the link below:

You will be directed to a page where you can see a map of the world. Just select your location. It will then ask you to enter your product type and the operating system. Just download the driver and install it in your computer.

Look here ... http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx to see if your BJC 2100 is supported under the Windows 7 Operating System. If it is not listed ... it may be time to upgrade.

Go to Cannons' site and download what you need. Some older printers, and scanners do not work with later OSs.

The fact is every printer, every hard ware requires a driver. Sometimes one is lucky they already in the drivers database of the operating system and so they get automatically installed. But if they are not one must download or get the CD and install them. Go to http://software.canon-europe.com/ select your printer, operating system i.e. xp or vista etc and download then install your driver.

Couple things.... Could be dry.... Take a cottonball or q-tip and dip in alcohol and wipe it on the cartridge and also the intake well on the printer, that will loosen any dry ink and let the ink flow. If this does not work, the cartidge is very possibly dried up. they will dry in less than a month if not sealed in a zip lock baggie.. Please let me know if this does not fix it, we can dig deeper into the problem. Pleasure to assist today.... Guy :)
