Integra 5.3 keeps turning off so TV will not go on. It flips back to standby mode after 2 seconds and screen says check signal cable or check connections. This issue started yesterday with a loud n

you most likely have a blown main output transistor or a shorted speaker. first get a mutimeter and set to lowest ohms setting and check for 4-8 ohms ( CHECK IMPEDENCE rating on back of speaker) at the speaker terminal of the speaker. if this checks out then you take the meter and set to DC and place the + / - terminals to the speaker connection on back of receiver then turn on the receiver . notice if you have any dc voltage at any sp terminal, if dc is present you have a blown output transistor. If you are not an electronic tech please refer your unit to a qualified service tech. I hope this helps.

Going to protective mode with load sounds, why?

Sounds like a speaker going bad or being over-driven.

Protect mode

Check to make sure that NONE of your speaker wires on the outputs are touching each other or that there is anything obstructing any the output terminals. Also since this a 5.3 model check all the SUB outputs for the same condition (although probably not as much an issue since they are line level outputs) as well as the condition of all interconnects and speaker cables. After that check all the physical connections at every speaker to make sure you haven't shorted out an output at that location.

Protect means that a fault was detected, disconnect all the speakersand connect one at a time to find the cause. If symptoms persist , it needs repair, output stage or power supplycircuits should be the preliminary things to check.

Integra DTM 3.5 AV receiver. The

Do more triage first.

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections at the speaker as a possible root cause for intermittent shutdown.

When speaker set B is

HAve you check the cables that are connected in speakers B connectors? This is a common problem for short circuit cables (or speakers). Try to inter-change speakers A with speakers B in order to estimate the problem. Also you can fully disconnect the speakers B (from the speakers side) isolate the cable ends and check. If the problem is not existing then you have to check the speakers themselves. You could also use (if available) a multimeter to check each speaker (cable and speaker).

There is a short on one of the speakers cables or the speakers themselves. Test all of them with an ohmmeter.

My Integra RC-585m remote will not connect to my DTR 6.5 Integra receiver

Hi, Please confirm that the remote has power and move closer to the receiver and attempt to use the remote again. If the remote works when you're closer, then this means that your batteries needed to be updated. If the remote does not work even within 1 foot of the receiver, please clean the section of the receiver that receives the remote signal. You can then restart your receiver and attempt to use the remote again. If this fails, then you can attempt to re-program your remote to the receiver once more. Otherwise, you might need to work with Integra to further troubleshoot the possible source of the issue. Thank you.

My integra av receiver model no DTR-70.1 amplifier displays but no sound what could be the problem?

http://www.integrahometheater.com/faqs.php Check the connections and try a master reset? Perform a master reset. To do the reset you need to turn the receiver on, then on the front panel of the receiver press and hold the "VCR/DVR" button while doing that press the "STANDBY/ON" button. You will see the word "Clear" in the display screen and the receiver will go into standby mode.

How do I set up an Integra DTR 7.8 for 3D display and audio

Your DTR-7.8 receiver is not 3D compatible. It does not support the new 1.4 HDMI. You have to have 1.4 HDMI and 1.4 cables for the 3D format. You can bypass your receiver for the video though. Simply run your HDMI cord (1.4) from your Blue Ray to your Projector. Your audio can be ran from your Blue ray to your reciever.

Hi we have an Integra

Does this normally happen if you press a few buttons or settings faster in succession? If so then maybe the receiver can't keep up with multitasking or what you would call processing power so maybe just try to not select functions as fast and give it a few seconds in between changing settings before switching to another. my cellphone and receiver will also do this because of lower quality components used in manufacturing. A lot of company's now days to compete with price points are cutting corners so certain components are lacking to keep up with demand of other components in the system.

My left rear speaker has no sound. All others

Swap your left and right rear speaker over. If you still get no sound from the right speaker connected to the left speaker connection on the receiver, then you have a fault on the receiver output. Check your manual first to see if any setting switch off the rear speaker before taking the unit for repair or replace

Vocalizer 3 output checked cables and swapped out. 1300 watt power adaptor lights up. sound indicator light is on but no sound. tried mono and stereo. power adaptor problem?

If the display is working, you have audio. Check your amplifier. 1300Watt adaptor ... This unit draws a very low power and that is not needed.
