take out the batteries; remove cartridge. press hold power button for 30 seconds. place batts back in and try to turn toy on

this prob means that your screen has ether come disconnected from it input port or is broken and the input section, your best bet would be to take it to geek squad so as not to void the warranty but if that is not an option you, need to take it apart and look at where the screen connects to the motherboard and see what is wrong, if it is the screen that is broken you can get another one but it will prob cost more then a new V. reader

You have to go here, download, put the SD card into the computer, let it do it's thing - then, put the SD card into the VReader, let IT do IT'S thing, LOL, then take the SD card out of the VReader and it's done! Mine was stuck on the calibration screen as well, but this fixes it - you have to do this to set it all up correctly. It's part of the download process.http://www.vtechkids.com/download/

If your Storio displays a blank blue screen upon start up, please perform the below procedure to restore the Storio back to factory standard - please note this procedure requires the use of a blank SD memory card and some form of SD card reader (either a port on the PC or a USB SD reader)

•Please firstly download the SD Card Recovery Creator

•Insert your SD card into the SD reader port on your PC or via a USB SD card reader - this should appear as a removable disk under your computer menu

•Double click the Vtech Icon located in your downloads folder to run the program - Click Continue

•Click 'Make Recover Program Card' then click 'Next'

•From the drop down menu, select the removable disk drive allocated to the SD card (drive E shown for demonstration purposes, the actual drive allocated to your SD card may differ)

•The application will now format the SD card with the Storio factory default operating system

•When the following screen appears, remove the SD card and then re insert it into the SD port or reader to complete the format

•Once the format is complete the following confirmation will appear - please click OK and follow steps 1-5 to finish restoring your Storio to factory standard.

•Please note, once the process is complete, you will need to re run the program to 'revert' the SD card back to a usable state

Hi there, there doesn't seem to be any specific information online for how to take it apart, but I've attached the user manual as a link to reverse the process. It seems you can easily remove the "shoulders" from the "base", all four legs can be detached easily, and the stool has removable legs as well. Hope this helped.

Hey there, seems like you've already tried many solutions. May I suggest checking if the SD card has been formatted before its first use (check to see if your SD card is formatted as a FAT16 or FAT32 partition). I have attached a link with further details on doing this. Also make sure your SD card is not in write-protected mode (the Lock switch on your SD card should be in the off position) and try again. As well, make sure you have the most updated software on your device. If nothing else works, I got the below text from the Vtech website. "If you have a problem that cannot be solved by using this manual, we encourage you to visit us online or contact our Consumer Services Department with any problems and/or suggestions that you might have. Go to settings and it should have something about Languages and press that and press english.

Apparently you can disconnect all power supplies (batteries and adapter), then reconnect all power supplies. Press the ON/OFF button. Remove the storybook cartridge, clean it if necessary, then re-insert it into the V.Reader. I've also included the product manual as a link. There doesn't seem to be any real answers online for this, but if you're out of options, I'd contact their customer service team at https://www.vtechkids.ca/en/support/form or call 1-877-352-8697.
