Please help
Could also be the cable, set are now designed if no signal to shutdown, so first check media box by calling cable company and or replace and try another just to make sure.

Pioneer media receiver won t turn on
If the light on the media reciever doesn't come on then the power supply in that needs to be replaced by a service tech. If you disconnect the 2 cables from the media reciever and the panel and then try to turn on the panel it should light with red and green squares for a few seconds but will turn off as it needs the media reciever to be connected.

Pioneer PDP-503PU
Very possible, but yet, this might be the manufacturer defect power supply which they will fix it for you free;but before we jump to this conclusion, you need to test it first:
-Unplug the power cords.
-Unplug the media video cable from the box to the tv.
-Check all the pins on the video cable are in place as well as the connectors both behind the TV and the media box.
-Reconnect the media box and TV with the video cable(DVI+VGA in one) and have at least a video component hook up to it(ex. dvd player/VCR or comcast box) be sure this video player is turn on and running,at the same time,be sure it is under the right video input.
If you have tried the above steps but still doesn't work, call 1-800-pioneer Tuesday-Thursday at7amPST and address your issue to them.
Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Pdp r05u receiver
You should return that box to the seller. There are half of dozens senarios which you should not have to go through.
When you are not able to turn of the power of the media box, that is a sure sign of trouble(assuming you have already replace it with the good battery.)
Instead of going into details, you should get your money back, and i DO NOT recommend you to buy a media box from ebay.To me,who would want to sell the media box that works with the plasma TV monitor? That is a video/audio connection board for the tv,without it,the tv is useless.

- external speaker hook up
On this set you will need the remote to do the adjustments.Sony universal remotes 30-40 dollars seem to be able to do the menu functions.Once you get a remote give me a e-mail back.

Problem with cable
The device that is connected to the HDMI socket may have a ground fault, or there is an electrical problem in your home.
You should have the cable TV man come out and at least check to see that their cable is electricaly in specs. You may also need an electrician to check the electrical for proper grounding and wiring.
I would not rule out the possiblity that the device being connected to the TV has an internal ground or electrical fault.

You will need to go to the set-up menu and activate the hdmi imput on the plasma side. These units have the ability to de-activate the hdmi imput to use the regular video imput.

Pioneer pro 506 pu 3 lights stuck on
You activated the trap switch. You must now call an authorized Pioneer service center near you. They are the only people that know how to deactivate it.

TV wont turn on power button flashes and record timer comes on.
For ANYONE to claim a TV will last for 20 years is outrageous! I don't care if it cost 10,000 dollars that is the wrong thing to say. Plasma TV's do generate a lot of heat and heat is the enemy of electronics. I would shop around for a repair because to quote $700 without looking at it is also outrageous. Then again it is well below the cost of a replacement Pioneer plasma.

The 3 blinks ( i assume they're blinking in red) means a scan assy problem. Check the scan A & B boards and the Y drive board. Something is shorted and loading down the Vscan voltage of the power supply.
