hi marco, the problem seems with the switches on the face. make sure that ALL switches have a "click" sound when pressed down. if not then that switch needs to be replaced. faulty switches can cause the face functions to work erratically. to try another route use your unit with the wireless remote control to check if all functions work well. cheers.
If you had power this set on with the back off it will not work without closing the switch again and entering serv mode and reactvating . Call pioneer customer serv to get info to reset the unit. Must have pioneer remote to do this reset.
If the light on the media reciever doesn't come on then the power supply in that needs to be replaced by a service tech. If you disconnect the 2 cables from the media reciever and the panel and then try to turn on the panel it should light with red and green squares for a few seconds but will turn off as it needs the media reciever to be connected.
Most likely its in the Media Reciever as the tuner is in there. If the set is showing a good picture on other inputs then that would be my guess. Pioneer has a flat rate to fix these and you may call their customer service to find out how much and where to send it 1800-421-1404 or plasma hotline 1800-421-1625
You will need a 1-to-2 AV Y-adapter. One end will plug into the headphone jack of your mp3 player, and the other end will plug into the red and white audio input of an open slot on your Pioneer receiver. Then change the mode on your Pioneer receiver to correspond to the input jack that you are using. If you plug the Mp3 player into AUX, change the pioneer mode to AUX, etc.
I have a Pro 436PU Model and I need a reciever
