I have a boss bv7320.
Hi ryan_krue819,
There is a problem with the break wire. You will need to hook up the break wire in the harness. It is a protection wire so that it knows the emergency break is on. It is supposed to stop you from watching movies while driving. There is a wire in the back of the unit that needs to be hooked up to the parking brake. The break wire needs to be grounded.
Please follow these steps.
1. Locate the Brake wire.
2. Connect the Brake wire to a negative point. You may try to connect it to the body of vehicle.
3. Test by playing a DVD.
Hope it helps.
Thank you for using FixYa.

I have a bv7320 head
Since you did not mention the year of the vehicle, I cannot be sure of the power/ground connection. However, if you are sure of the connections, let us proceed. Check the constant 12 volt for power. Check the accessory power connection for 12 volts when the key is on. Check the ground connection for a good chassis ground. If you do not have power at these connections, check your fuses at the vehicle fuse box and at the stereo head unit itself (if one exists). If all power and ground connection are good and all fuses are good and, your unit still does not power on, check and make sure that the pins in the stereo harness are properly seated.
If all of these things check out as good then the issue is with the head unit.

How to reset screen
Not sure which model you have, but on most Boss models there is a little button on the front of the unit that you need to push with a pen. The button may say RES next to it. It also may be in the back of the unit.
Somewhere on the unit there is a button! Push it!
Find your manual using the link below if you can't find the button.

Issue with gps not working cant get it to work
Most issues with GPS devices relate back to the lack of a clear view of the southern sky (for those located above the equator or a northern sky for those below the equator). if you are in an open area, and still unable to get it to work properly - read on.If this is a new installation, review and carefully check your work. Make sure all connections are made up properly and tight. Check the manual to make sure you're using the product the way it is intended. Check your antenna. A poorly connected, damaged, obscured or missing antenna will prevent the GPS from obtaining a "fix". The antenna should have an unobstructed view of the sky. If still unable to get it to work, contact BOSS directly via their webpage
here.Good luck!
