BOSS AUDIO SYSTEMS BV9970 Car Video Player Questions & Answers
Usb is always loading on boss bv9993
Yes, I just got this unit and installed it today. The reason for this is this unit isn't capable of playing the ipods. You have to put the music on a flash drive to use the usb function. Which to me wasn't a big deal because I only use my ipod in my car anyway. The bv9999bi is the newer model of this unit and can play ipods. But i wasn't going to send this one back to get that one cause then I would have to pay for reinstallation when I could just put the songs on a flash drive. I love this unit btw.
I have a BOSS BV9970

I cant get my ipod
The only way the BV9970 will work with an ipod is by using a male male phono lead, from the headphone socket in the ipod to the AUX in on the front of the stereo.

- These units have a lock out wire on them that will not allow the screen to come out to watch DVD's while the car is moving. So while you are driving down the road the screen will not come out. This is a factory set safety wire.

Hey i wired up everything correctly in my 05
There could be a few things wrong with it. The first thing I would do is check the ground wire. It should be solidly connected to a paint-free surface of your vehicle that is connected to the chassis. The next thing I would check is the connection between the power wire lead from the vehicle and the lead from the head unit. If neither of those are the problem, the only other thing it could be (other than a faulty wire somewhere along the power circuit, which can be tested for using an ammeter) is a lack of power to the power wire lead from the car. Test that wire using an ammeter and make sure it is receiving power.
My new radio plays every thing but when i put a
the parking brake wire must be connected to the parking brake system of you car. When the parking brake is engages, the LCD will be allowed to view your video. If not, the screen will produce an image saying, parking brake. this is a feature designed for the driver not to watch a video while driving. The video output on this unit will not be affected by this, el wire to connect is Pink - parking brake. this is wire connect with ground.
