I do not know this specific unit, but it sounds like a safety device built into the unit so you cant watch the screen whilst driving.. it may be that you have ommitted a sensor wire or got a sensor wire reversed.

Re-check all your wiring and make sure that the ignition live and the battery live wires have not been reversed...

The video feature is supposed to be available only when the car is not moving. So there is a wire coming out from the stereo that is supposed to go to the parking brake switch, that's the same switch that will make turn on the brake light in you dashboard.If you cannot find that wire in your car's harness. Then you could easily fix it (under your own responsibility), by connecting that wire from the stereo to ground. Than will make the DVD feature to work on any condition.That's how I made it work, I think it's okay as long as you connect an auxiliary screen for the kids to watch on the rear seat.Miguel

Hello Eric, Hi, thats a very nice function we could have, but you see, shuffling through a CD and an SD card will take some processor action, like in computers, but these may make the Unit more expensive. I say buy a much bigger SD capacity card and place your Favs on the SD, you may never use a CD to swap with.
