Try replacing the temp sensor. You can test the temp sensor if you have an ohms meter that can read k-ohms. If the sensor is good then the board is probably not reading the sensor properly.

You may be looking at replacing one or both boards. Make sure the air flow is not blocked and there is no damage to any of the wiring. The igniter is Error code-10 however if the igniter is good then the board will be the issue.

Get a pool heater pro in to look the heater over. Depending on the age and overall condition of the unit repairs might be to costly. A newer more efficient unit might be a better way to spend your money and save money every time you use the heater. If you call a local pool company they may be able to recommend someone. Good luck.

No! They may seem similar in some ways however they are very different mechanically. RPM, air flow and installation are the major reasons.

Before you hook up the vacuum attachment, you want to flood the vacuum hose with water or your pump will be air locked. Submerge the hose and fill it with water. These centrifugal pumps must be primed in order to work. Another method is to fill the vacuum hose with water from a garden hose.

Not much info to go by here Patty.
A gas fired heater needs spark and fuel to ignite. We need to start by to determining which is missing.
The H series has seen a few progressions. Does yours have no lights, 3 lights, or a lcd display? Propane or natural gas? Standing pilot or spark ignition?
Do any lights or display come on? Do you hear any clicking?

the code is HS. it means that the maximum allowed temperature has been reached too fast. there are a few situations that may cause this. restricted flow is the most common

the black part sitting and secured to the filter body is referred to as the dial valve. there are many different types so if you are replacing it, be sure to replace it with the same type
