Great answer Larry Larry Ng Aug 27, 2021 what a great question that is, and all time first here, I think first off you you looked at all chip on them MOBO and not the CPU or south bridge. you;d find it, it is usually a 6 or 8 pin SMD chip (a serial flash, EEPROM,. surely you can just look, and find it, the makers are few. like micron or winbond, etc. it is most times closest, to the huge south bride chip , not CPU nor GPU chip. the south bridge loads it at power on time , one of its little jobs.. using 1 wire, serial. i see an 8 pin behind the centered fan jack. south bridge is Mobile Intel HM370 chipset dell no tell you this, it is there design. do you know logos of EEPROM that be first to learn so when you see that logo on 8 pins its bingo moment near the 370 chip; the 370 has SPI pin for flash. the data sheet at intel.com shows, all SPI pins, SPI-I/O pin is one, key pin., what dell used for EEPROM is not documented. it is sold here https://www.laptopschematic.com/dell-g3-... Remove power and the battery. Replace the power lead and boot normally. Check all is OK power down, add the battery and re boot. Don't use sleep mode it can cause untold issues.

Greetings to you! This error is due the battery. The battery didn't get sufficient power supply. If you are using the duplicate battery I suggest you to purchase a genuine battery from the authorized reseller. before that try the following steps as a first aid and it may help you. follow each step

• First of all, remove the battery on your Dell laptop.
• Turn over the Dell laptop.
• Then pull out to remove the battery
• Wait a few minutes at least 50- 60 seconds.
• Next, start your Dell Laptop.

if this steps didn't work out then it is better it to the authorized service provider and get your gadget replaced with the genuine battery thank you!

I haven't before this heard of such a thing. I am wondering how you have determined this figure and what exactly you mean - do you mean the 1TB drive is now considerably less than 1TB? Perhaps you mean the available space on the drive is reducing by 10Gb per day? If the latter it suggests your computer is downloading lots of stuff without your knowledge and if the former it suggests the hard drive is failing. I suggest you connect your hard drive to a different computer via a usb adaptor and run the check disc utility and examine the contents to discover whether there is content on it you didn't put there.

why not ask at dell.com (sure the endless laughter and taunts) ;-) is this a laptop, and is useless now. totally. but the battery is bad, remove the big battery it is shorted now. then the coin cell battery went dead 2 decades go. and now the HDD is bad. why in the world waste or worse money on this junk far far better fish in the sea, far newer, and cheap. used. this lappy has CCFL back lamps that went bad long ago. no fix for that under $100. this PC has no value at all, why mess with this pig.

(this tell what mobo is inside) yeah.OS is what window 10?what is in your hand USB? device, cant guess that.do all ports fail?is USB 2 and 3 ports all turned on IN BIOS F2 pages.does keyboard USB fail on any USB portsdoes it fail in BIOS windows only or that and BIOS screens too. if fails in BIOS too, that means the ports some are tuned off in BIOS.

It alway zs helps to know the model number. Witht that information, you should be able to find the specifications at the Dell support site. It would simply tell you in a specs sheet. I guess you could download HWinfo, a handy freeware program and check informaiton about components there. There is of course the option to download the user manual.

Possibly incorrect battery installation

Restart the laptop and after the dell logo appears then disappears press the f8 key repeatedly until you see the "Advanced Boot Options" menu. Then highlight "Repair your computer" and press enter.
