Model 2411H. How can I turn off stuck power saving mode?

  • Anonymous Jan 31, 2021

    you meant

    Dell P2411H Black 24" 5ms Height,Swivel & Tilt Adjustable LED Backlight LCD Monitor w/USB Ports 250 cd/m2 1000:1

the answer is YOU CAN NOT do that in the monitor only in the PC, OK.

    buttttt
in Control panel + power settings
    on all PCs with windows
no PC told no OS told
all from Butttt down is me guessing you blind.

in Linux, or CHROME OS or others ,all a different answer

    NO PC told. at all.
we can not guess PCs nor the OS.

oops 2010 monitor the magic date 2010
is the transition year, from CCLF monitors to real LED. (bingo LED)

that means some have sleep timer inside the monitor, push OSD menu button on monitor
turn that off for sure if seen
    this Monitor is LED backlamped,
    and has no internal timer
if the PC goes to sleep the monitor power lED goes to AMBER to tell that fact.

I read your manual to be sure 2010 is must
wow has Dell monitor diagnostic inside.
very nice that, Dell is great.

a working w10 (is it) PC will not get stuck
all you do is hit any key on the keyboard
and the PC ends sleep mode and can be slow if using nasty hibernate mode.
    if this fails that means
the USB ports are dead. wire keyboards

The controls for sleep are deep but in one place per above.
make sure USB ports are not dead in device manager. and drivers good there, no errors.
then make sure power settings are set correctly. make sure wake on USB is turned on not off.
a mouse too (wired) can wake up a PC tool
    clicked.
if PC is old and upgraded to w10 many of those the USB ports are born dead.

NO PC told at all nor OS

    learn this 1 thing
the PC GPU port if it goes dead (sleep)
the monitor sees that and the monitor goes to sleep (by laws in USA, and Energy star )
    that is how it works.
so the PC side is CAUSE !
if the cableS did not faLL OFF pc THAT IS.

SOURCE: stuck in power save mode

Have you have selected the input you are using? You can switch between analog and digital input. The monitor would stay in power save if the input other than the one you are using is selected.
I believe the default input is DVI. Are you using VGA?
In the menu, under advanced, you can select the input.

SOURCE: Dell E173FP stuck in power save mode

Just had the same problem... what worked for me was simple. Unplug the cable from the monitor, hit the power button a few times until Dell screen poped up with a few color bars because it knew it was no longer connected to a PC. Then plugged the cable back in and all was fixed.

Finlux 42FLHT911LH TV screen stuck on power save mode

You have a board that has gone faulty, or perhaps failing capacitors. Take it for service or replace it with something better.

It appears to be made in China and not a brand I know here in Canada. Seems to ring a bell from when I lived in the UK.

My Gateway 500s monitor is stuck in power save mode

Try tapping the F8 key while booting the computer, you will get the start up menu, choose safe mode, when you log on, go to the display settings, that is right click on the desktop, properties, screen saver, advanced and make sure that hibernation is off, along with turn off disks or whatever , probably see turn off monitor after XX minutes, I make ours 15 minutes (150 computers and servers), I don't let the disks turn off. Choose always on also, not home/office. Try this and see if these settings help.

My ibm desk top is stuck in power save mode monitor won't work

So the only way you have to act is, turned off and directly on the mainboard, so do it carefully.
You'll have to find out, where, on the mainboard is located the battery, (a small coin like
unpluggable metallic piece)
Remove it and let all static electricity completely disapear, so, let the cpu power unplugged,
battery removed, for 1h,
Then, place back, battery, try to start again if not working it's hardwaire failure.

My desktop pc has gone into power save mode

Turn the whole pc off then back on. If the LCD stays in power save then I would try a diffrent monitor on the PC. If that fixes it the the monitor is probably stuck in power save. Check www.lcdrpair.us for parts and instructions.
