its a network problem. try to unplug and plug usb cable from printer to pc and check printer power cable. check also the power source

does not need ink to scan. however some printers might give you an error or won't let you do anything if it does not detect a ink cartridge.

did you put in new cartridge or refill the old? If you bought new ones you could have gotten one with a bad chip. I would take it back and exchange it for a different.

Is it the new original cartrigde colour or not ? If yes, you should ask a guarantee from the seller.
There is a chip inside the cartridge, sometimes it doesn't compatible for the printer software to read the chip.
The printer will keep asking for the new one if there is no ink in the cartridge.

Is this a new or old printer? I would check your feed guides, to make sure that the paper is being pulled into the printer properly.

It could also be that it needs a new fuser module. I would check to see if it is still under warranty.

If your looking for cheap ink, try buying a more expensive printer as ink for the expensive printers are relatively cheaper. I also tried refilling the inks for my printer but to no avail, it simply leaked out the bottom making a big mess

To get your printer to recognize the new cartridge; go to start - printer and faxes -right click on printer - preferences (printing preferences) -settings -load factory settings. Print test page Ctrl+P

Open your control panel, then open administrative tools, then open services. Look for Still Image Service. Be sure that it is started. Also be sure that the startup is Automatic. I had the same problem with my scanner and this procedure seems to have fixed the problem
if that doesn solve ur problem ur only option wud be to uninstall the printer drivers and reinstall them completely....

start typing 2650 into the "Search by Model" inputbox then it should show Lexmark X2650. Then you will get links to download the drivers (XP/Vista/Mac OS X 10.5)

Is it new? If so, please check that there is no packing material stuck anywhere in the machine or tape that they have put on moving parts to keep them from moving in transit.

Perhaps update your adobe reader software, or try opening your saved pdf through a web browser, although it still uses adobe maybe it will simply work that way? good luck.
