Your best bet would be to locate a locksmith, Pop-A-Lock is a common company in the south and central states. They have tools that can open the door without causing damage to the interior controls. Your second choice would be to call the Non-Emergency police number and ask if by chance their officers carry a device called a "Slim Jim" which some departments will allow officers toe carry to assist motorist. Some departments do allow this as a courtesy service and some don't but in teh case they don't they may be able to give you a number of a dependable locksmith service. As far as getting a spare made that will depend on whether you have the security key or a regular key. Security keys have chips in them to protect against theft and did not become standard issue in most mid to high end vehicles until 2007 but were available as an option on vehicles starting in 2000.

Is there a way to use a key to open the rear hatch door, car battery dead 2009 equinox

Yes, you should be able to use the key to unlock the rear hatch of your 2009 Equinox even if the car battery is dead. The lock cylinder for the rear hatch is likely located on the outside of the hatch itself, or it may be located on the door handle. To unlock the hatch with the key, insert the key into the lock cylinder and turn it clockwise. If the key won't turn or the hatch won't open, you may need to wiggle the key or apply more pressure to unlock the hatch. If the key won't go into the lock cylinder at all, it is possible that the lock is frozen or damaged and will need to be repaired or replaced. You may also be able to use the manual release for the rear hatch, which is usually located inside the vehicle, near the driver's side door or on the underside of the dashboard.

2018 Chevrolet Equinox unlock, Onstar isn't active. Chevy dear, is closed!

Call AAA, or a tow truck driver with a slim jim.

Taxi home and get the spare keys, or get a family member to bring keys.

Locked my keys in my chevy equinox and the spare key wont unlock it. Why?

Possibly the spare key was mis-keyed so you may have to have
another spare key made after you get original key by using a
locksmith to open door. I had an older chevy that I had a spare
key made at a Home Depot that would only work in one position.
The top and bottom of the key should be cut identically to original.
Also some new spare keys need to be reprogramed with the
car's security system to work in the ignition. Owners manual will
show you how to reprogram it yourself.

I have a 2005 Chevy Equonox

you might have to dismantle the key ignition assembly on your steering column. Have you tried getting some channel locks or some pliers to swiftly yank out the key? Is the key bent inside the ignition? If so, you have a problem on your hands and you'll have to remove the assembly and most replace it.
