I'm assuming the engine is cranking over while turning the key and wont start. from this assumsion it possible the cam sensor on the timing chain is broken. or no fuel pressure. to test for fuel pressure, turn the igntion key on, locate the fuel line & port on the fuel line, remove the cap & depress the small screader valve by using a small pocket screwdriver, fuel should shoot out with a lot of pressure. no fuel shooting out most likey the fuel pump is bad. if this has good pressure the cam sensor is most likey the cause. to replace the sensor, you need to replace the timing chain.

Re: 2005 Kia Rio Wagon. Driving down the highway, car just decided to stop working. Will not start again. Have replaced the starter with a brand new starter still not working. All you can hear is

Well, to begin with, the LAST thing I would replace if a vehicle died going down the highway is the starter. What caused the engine to die? It certainly was not the starter!
If the starter will not crank the engine over, you probably have a dead battery. If your battery went dead while driving the vehicle down the road, you most likely have a bad alternator. However, it is really hard to say without actually being able to see the car.

I have an 2002 XG350, My car windshield wipers went out. I changed the fuse and it worked for about 4 days then it stopped again, its not the fuse. Then 3 days after that the car is not starting. What...

Most probably it is corrosion inside the motor which causes the armature to bind. If it doesn't run freely it will blow the fuse due to electrical overload. If it can be stripped, cleaned, and lubricated. i should be OK.t

My car wont start I changed my water pump n now my car wont start

It is a good idea (recommended) to disconnect the battery when working on electrical components. If you disconnected the batter, make sure the battery cables are secure on the terminals (clean terminals if necessary) - apply a terminal grease to prevent corrosion and acid build up. Also, check the connection on the alternator - it's very possible this may have been disturbed or disconnected by accident during the installation of wires. Part of your message says "my car won't start, I changed my water..." did you change your water pump? There may be a crankshaft and/or camshaft sensor near the water pump. Make sure that these are plugged in and secure. Check your ignition fuse in the fuse box, the starter relay(under the hood) and the fusable link, next to or near the battery, or starter. Check all electrical connection that may prevent the vehicle from starting.
