Overheats when the a/c is off
if the thermostat has not been replaced i would do this, also while doing this flushed the radiator system out, is also best to back flush they system, also when was the last time the water pump was changed, as over time the fins on the water pump will deteriorate and cause overheating problems, with a/c it will help keep the engine cooler, but you need to check that the parts ive said have been done as this is the main cause of the engine over heating, you will probably find the thermostat is not working properly and there is rust red water in the system, and rusty parts in the emptied water thats why you will need to back flush the engine youtube back flush engine, top up with new antifreeze recommended for your area and engine. and bleed out the air from system. if the water pump has not been replaced in 5-10 years it needs changing.
No power or ground wire for after market radio?
there is a fuse for the radio in the fuse box, if your power was ripped out , find the radio fuse and make a new conection from there
ground can be made conecting to any metalic part of the car
The heat/defrost won't work
This can be caused by a stuck blend door or a clogged heater core. Can you hear the blend door moving when you turn the temp knob? If not, it may have disconnected from the control panel or blend door. If the door works, remove the heater core and flush it or replace it.
99 Saturn SL clutch lost pressure while driving, won't go into gear while car is on, What do I do?
You don't state mileage on the car but I'm betting well over 100K. The master cylinder is sold as a one piece kit which has the line and the slave cylinder attached to it. More than likely your slave cylinder has gone bad, which means you'll have to drop the transmission to get it out as it's an internal mechanism that pushes your throw out bearing to engage your clutch. Yes it's time to also change the clutch and pressure plate too, you may as well as long as you have to drop the transmission AND in order to do that my friend, you're going to have fun, because the whole front of the car has to be lifted and the WHOLE X sub-frame has to be dropped which means struts and all have to be disconnected. NOT a fun driveway weekend job unless your young, don't mind bending and kneeling on concrete and have power tools, air guns, to make it easier. Strong arms if you're going to attempt it with hand tools. Good luck to you.
