Have 2011 cadillac dst, the speedometer changed from english to metrics, checked manual, says english, but still reads metrics

Hi. You would select Language for English. You need to scroll and select UNITS. From there you can choose between US, Metric and Imperial.

SOURCE: change mileage and temperature from english to metric

Look to see if you have an Info Centre on your dash. If you do push the Info button until mileage comes up and click Reset it should change from english to metric. Changing the temp is done the same way. If you have an owners manual it will tell you how to do it as well. Hope this helps

Try pressing the tripometer reset button in rapid hits, watch for your language setting to come up.

If you have the digital dash the button marked E/M changes it from english to metric and back.

My odometer is showing KMs and the speedometer is showing twice the speed on my 2006 Pontiac G6
There is a setting in the driver information panel for English or Metric units. Change this to English and you will see MPH on Speedometer and Miles on Odometer.

The speed odomitor is broken
I have a 2004 CTS and thought my speedo was broke. It was reading very high and the odometer was wrong. My wife had accidently changed the reading to metric from english on the information center. Maybe your problem?

Speedometer is going to fast
Does your car have a english/metric switch or option in the settings of the DIC? You may have it set on metric, which will cause the speedo to read killometers instead of mph.

THE SPEEDOMETER OR THE ODOMETER? THE SPEEDO TELLS YOU HOW FAST YOU ARE GOING AND ODOMETER READS THE MILAGE OR KILOMETERS TRAVELED.
IF YOU MEAN THE ODOMETER THEN THE CAR IS PROBABLY FROM CANADA AND CAN NOT BE CHANGED. I'VE RUN INTO THIS BEING NEAR THE CANADIAN BORDER.
I AM NOT SHURE IF YOU CAN CHANGE OVER TO A NEW CLUSTER (INSTRUMENT PANEL) LEGALLY OR NOT. CALL YOUR LOCAL D.M.V. AND THEY CAN TELL YOU. THE MILAGE WOULD HAVE TO BE CONVERTED AND THEN THE MILAGE STORED IN THE ENGINE/TRANS. COMPUTER WOULD NOT MATCH THE ODOMETER READING. SORRY HOPE YOU CAN FIND A SOLUTION IF YOU NEED TO.
IF YOU MEAN THE SPEEDOMETER THE THERE IS A ENGLISH/METRIC BUTTON TO PUSH TO CHANGE THE DISPLAY. GOOD LUCK..

Why doesn't the passenger side rear seat back return to the upright position? The clip used to latch seat down is staying open. Feels like the gear is broken.
