get it inspected to make sure its full and get an oil service if its been awhile. If the light still stays on after you do this then you will need to get the car inspected. You may have a sensor issue or a real problem thats needs to be looked at before you end up damaging your engine.

it sounds like valves tapping or valve tap, im wondering if Lucas oil stabilizer might help in this situation any other opinions? the fact that it is recommended by so many people including myself, i use it alot

hope u got a long funnel the easyest way two find that is first follow the shifter cable once you do that u will find just a cap loking thing there unscerew then use long funnel .

To my knowledge, a 2003 Ford Focus 2.0 SPi engine would need 4 quarts of engine oil (roughly 3.78 liters). Incidentally, the Ford/Cosworth Zeta/Zetec engine would be needing 4.25 quarts (~4 liters).

You can fill the oil down the dipstick, it goes to the same spot and some vehicles just use this to fill the oil, I'm not quite sure on this car but if you can't find it then I would give a 90% chance that it is expected to be filled from the dipstick tube. You will need a funnel,
