Fortunately, park is not a function of the real internal transmission workings. (like clutches, gears, bands etc) Likely your shift cable or linkage needs adjustment, or the cable may have stretched and needs replacement. Even if the problem is inside the transmission, most parking mechanisms can be serviced by just removing the pan, not the entire unit.

Sounds like you need a new shift cable. That go from shifter down to transmission.

No reverse all of a sudden

check power to the reverse shift solinoid

Transmission will not go in reverse

check the shift linkage make sure the tranny shift lever is all the waydown and that will be park then put shift linkage back on and try moving it into gear again should work.
