I recently had same problem. It was caused from water getting into the fuse panel and shortening out the ACC Relay. You need to check the ACC relay for any moisture and replace. Then open drivers side door and look at water Chanel coming off driver door. Is there holes in the front side panel? Water comes off the rail right into that panel right into your fuse box. ACC Relay is Black and rectangular shaped. It is located on driver side behind kick plate in fuse box. You do not need to disconnect battery to replace it. Cost under 10 bucks at parts store. Make sure key is off.

Hi! I have the same problem and was curious to know what the exact solution to the issue was. I'd like to fix this issue without having to tear the dash apart and other things listed, if it's not necessary. Thank you!

Was anyone able to describe the exact solution???
Not that I've seen. Funny thing is, if there's no snow and it's not raining heavy where the truck has been dry for a couple days everything is working fine. It's obviously a short or something, I just need to have an idea on where to start.
I went to a Midas today and they looked up on their IDNETIFIX system known fixes for this..here's what they had to say.
Concern - No Radio or power mirrors
Tests / 1.Inspect the dash harness for obvious broken wires or try running new wires from the dash to the fuse box connector to the mirror switch and the radio.
Wires - Broken wires in dash harness
I agree a short somewhere makes sense,,,,but i have no idea where that is. I'm scanning the internet in hopes of finding a solution.
Tech Tip - These circuits both get power from the accessory relay which is on the dash fuse box
Thanks for the info. If I get around to taking it apart, I'll comment back.
Funny thing, after this post, the radio started to work again until this winter season started and hasn't come back on since.
So, I found one main issue is that the Ford Escape is common with having water getting to the fuse box due to a leak in the windsheld right on the lower driver side above the fuse box. I had a crack in my windsheld, so I had the whole thing replaced, so now at least the water issue is gone.
I took the radio out to make sure no water damage was on the back of the radio. I tried to use a hair dryer on the fuse box area, but that still didn't work. I took some fuses out and there is water damage/corrosion visible. I'm thinking about replacing the whole fuse panel. A new one from Ford costs about $160. Looking at junk yards for other Ford Escape's that don't have water damage on the fuse box to get a cheaper price.
I might also try just replacing the Accessory Relay and see if that helps without taking the whole fuse panel aparts, but my concern is that even though I might get the radio working would there be something else underlying from the water damage and connection corrosion that isn't functioning properly where a replacement fuse panel might just be the right thing to do.
I guess I'll see.
