How to unlock radio code of rav4 2002

Take that code and your car's registration to your local Ford dealer's parts department. They can look up the unlock code for you. You will need to input the code to unlock your radio. Write the code down in your owners manual, so that next time this happens [any time the battery is dead or disconnected] you will have to code to unlock the radio.

The unlock code is on the back of the radio. Use an extension mirror to see it.Turn the radio to the on position and press the alphanumerical code in.

You have to go to a chevy dealership to have them unlock the radio. They use a special code that will unlock the radio and then allows you to pick a new code. Hope this helps.

If the code is not at the back of your manual, try 0000 and if the radio locked it self from taking any more codes. Just disconnect the battery and that will reset the radio so you can re-enter the code. If 0000 did not work then log on to Radio-code.com, you can get your cod there for like $12.00 which is cheaper then the dealer and you get to know the codes as most dealer will just unlock the radio. They are all random codes that are stored in the radio. The radio can lock it's self with possible 10.000 differant codes. You will need to take it to the dealer to have them use the gm scaner to retreive the code that is in the radio then they call the gm headquarters and those egg heads give an unlock code for the car. If you are refering to the Theft Lock code, you must first push the right sequence of radio buttons to enter the un lock mode in the radio's computer. Once the radio's Theft Lock Identifier code is displayed, you then enter the un lock code into the radio. Ususally, this is a dealer operation as they have the online program to retrieve the unlock code after they submit your Theft Lock ID code. I'm wondering how you were able to get a unlock code without the dealer's assistance.

As far as I know there is no code on a Nissan factory radio. Check the fuses for the radio.
