About the check engine light. We have a 07 accord and the engine light was coming on for no appert reason. I discovered that it could have to do with the emission system. It seemed that this would happen when it would get gas. I checked the filler cap, no problems. Anyway, I ended up putting a small film of oil on the rubber gasket of the cap. Problem went away. Check your gas cap, put a film of oil on the rubber gasket if it dry. Hope this will help.
