It is getting even strange. After i got the window wrapped with cellophane, I had to meet up appointment early this morning. On getting to toll center i decided to try the window and it opens, imeediately i tried the passenger side which was down and wont go up and it works. I kind of find out that the passenger side front window only works when the driver's side front window works. Now i'm freaking scared of touching anyone of them as such attempt may result to the earlier problem. If anyone had a similar experience , i need some assistance. Thanks

If this is only happening with the driver's door switch, it is probably a faulty switch.

Most common cause is water or corrosion in the master switch. All the wiring for each window goes thru that switch

SOURCE: 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. Passenger side window problem.

HAVEK 1005 sounds right on track.... but also try this, usually works well for non functional power windows, specially Caravans.

NO COST PROCEDURE TO FIX IT:

1. Sit in vehicle, on seat next to problematic window
2. Ignition key is on
3. Door in question is opened (in case you closed it)
4. While door is open, press and hold power window button in desired window travel, keep button pressed !!
5. SLAM hard the door closed with one hand while other hand holds button as per #4.
6. Watch window operate as it should.
7. Repeat 3-6 if necessary, but usually the first try works!

NOW, for the naysayers that says you must replace power window motors etc, at $$$ cost because the above fix does not work, or is not long lasting fix, or less than a "professional fix".... Well then, when the window fails to operate again, apply same fix again at that time.

I have fixed my van this way numerous times (usually once a year), and to all local friends I recommend this fix too, likewise do the same and are happy with the solution.

Why does the power window button blink on and off and the automatic feature doesn't work in the 2008 Toyota Sienna?

NOTE:

With ignition switchin the "ON" position, do the following:

1. Push down and hold the driver's door power windowswitch to completely open the window.
2. Pull and hold up the driver's door power windowswitch until the window closes.

Continue holding the switch for approximately one second until the switch changes from blinking to a constant illumination.
3. Check for proper operation of the "one-touch open and close" function by fully pushing the switch briefly to the "DOWN" and "UP" positions.

At this time the power window switchfor the passenger's door windowshould be blinking.

2007 mazda 6 front and rear driver and rear passenger windows not working.

The windows need to be re-learned.
- Park the car on level floor. Shift the gear lever to P or N. Pull up the hand brake. Start the engine.
- Sit on driver's seat. Lower the driver side window. Keep the button pressed for three to four Seconds after the window glass sits completely.
- Move up the window glass and do the same as above.
- Do the same with passenger side window glass while sitting on the passenger seat.
- Repeat the same procedure for rear windows one by one from their own buttons.
- Sit on a drivers seat and operate all the windows one by one.
Note:
If the problem persists, pull up the body diagnostic error codes with Diagnostic computer or re-learn the windows with the same machine.

2005 Chrysler Pacifica passenger doors have no power

If your alarm went off, it could be that someone had tried to break into your car. They most likely may have cut some of the wires inside your door with what ever device they may have been using. Look for evidence between the bottom of the windows and doors where the problem is. If not, then it is possible that your automatic window assemblies are malfunctioning. Do you hear the motors run on the windows when you go up or down with the switch? I also have a Pacifica, 2005, however no window problems yet.

Good Luck,

Ray
