If i do the temp overide and it doesnt work is it possible that is not the problem but a starter instead?

Thought it was the imobilizer due to the green key light flashing. New car to me so never recognized it before. Blinks five times in 0 position but does not stay on once I turn it to the 2 position (on). Lights and all come on but no noise or click or turn over. Could just be the starter I guess...

if i do the temp overide and it doesnt work is it - starter cut relay-lhtsyomrvxskmrkpevcujn2g-3-0.jpg With key in the crank position, jump the load side of starter cut relay, the load side is that line with arrowhead. If everything is ok, the starter motor should crank. If you try that make sure tranny is in park or neutral and parking brake is set. I'm just trying to see if starter motor will crank the engine? I'm not sure about your security system? Jumping the relay bypasses the security for cranking only. Make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good.
You can always take the starter motor off, lay it on the ground, use jumper cables properly from battery to starter motor. At the least it should kick out the drive gear and spin.

SOURCE: my 1997 honda accord wont start.....

Hi Matt

Follow the( + ) positive lead from the battery, to the starter, check the connections, if all OK, get someone to turn the ignition key to start, and give the starter a tap, on the selenoid, with a small hammer or a metal socket extension.

Good Luck !

Let me know the outcome !

Also a FixYa rating would be nice !

SOURCE: 1995 honda accord speedometer and odometer not working

Sounds like either your speedometer cable, your nylon gear on the side of the tranny where the cable ties in, or the odometer itself is shot. One of those three will set you straight. If you are able, remove the cluster, take the cable off the back, and pull it out of the sheath. You will see if its broken or not from there. If not, slide it back into the sheath, then you have to find out where the sheath meets the tranny, and pull it off of there. Then, you can get someone else to watch the speedo as you turn the cable from the bottom. If it works, great, if not, then its your cluster/odometer/speedo. If it does work, the small gear in the transmission is shot.

SOURCE: where is the starter relay on a 94 Honda Accord

Yes, it sounds like your solenoid is bad and staying engaged against the flywheel, you could do an amperage draw and a voltage drop test to find out for sure, but you will need an DVOM and a amp clamp. Or you could take it into an auto parts store and they will test it for free. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Engine won't start. Dash lights flash rapidly when key turned.

the battery says 12 volts but may be dropping to 4 or 5 under a load...i would suggest jumpstarting the car and see what happens.the battery should read in the high 12 volts and not less than 9.5 under cranking. the dash lights go out on your car when starting, and the alarm will go off ,and disable the ignition if the voltage is too low in cranking the car because the computer will shut it down and activate the anti theft.....check your battery posts are tight. best of luck

SOURCE: 2003 honda accord - starter does not make a sound

If the head lights and accessories work, your main fuse is good. Make sure your gear selector is all the way in the park park position. The gear indicator light should be illuminated. if the light doesn't illuminate in Park, but illuminates in the other gear positions the shift cable is out of adjustment. adjust the cable and recheck.
The next step would be to test the starter. Do this by first turning the ignition switch off. To be safe take the key out of the ignition. Unplug the small wire at the starter solenoid and take a jumper wire connected to the starter solenoid and touch it to the positive side of the battery (The battery should be connected to the vehicle).
-If the starter still doesn't operate. The starter is faulty and should be replaced.
-If the starter operates (spins), you have a starter circuit wiring issue. You'll have to do a series of pinpoint test to determine the fault. It could be a faulty ignition switch, starter cut relay, clutch pedal switch for manual trans. or a gear selector switch for an auto trans. or an open in the wiring harness to the starter. -hope this helps.

Really sounds like the broken wire is to the neutral safety switch. Everything else will work properly but the starter will not engage...so nothing happens. I would check that.

I have a 2000 s 10 blazer heater doesnt work..but all fues are good and tried replacing swith in cab..no effect..but blower works just fine? Any ideas

Sound like a heater core, the heater core would be under your dash..Another sign of the heater core being gone, is you would notice the floor board being wet..It is possible that maybe at some point the floor board was wet and you didn't know here it came from and didn't give it another thought..But if the blower works..I would bet heater core...Or it could be a thermostate..check the thermostate first it would be the easiest.. and the cheapest..

sounds like the problem is your imobilizer faulty.Get a bit of wire and atach it to the positive conection on the battery. Then touch the small wire on the starter to see if the motor turns. If it does then your imobilizer is the fault.Good luck.
