The security system need to be reset, plug your charger back on the battery then turn the ignition switch on and leave it on untill the security warning light turns off (about 10 to 20 Min) then turn the key to off wait 5sec then turn the car on it should be good to go, this solves this kind of problem 9 out of 10. good luck

SOURCE: 05 ford escape wont start. jump started it and it

okay try this....talk to your parts store and get a battery load tester, and find out if the battery is indeed dead. My guess is it sounds like the Altenator is dying. they are around 50-100 and can be install by a pro in minutes.

New alternator and battery. Now all dash lights are on when jump started. Wont start on its own.

Do the dash lights go out after jump starting ? Did you check what the voltage is at the battery while running , should be 13.1 to 14.1 .or more on some computer controlled charging systems ! What are you using to jump start the vehicle ? When disconnecting what ever your using to jump start the vehicle , does the vehicle die right away ?

New battery In mercedes no power

I'm not a car mechanic, but, it sounds like you might want to check the fuse to the ignition switch, and, if that fails, it might be a problem with the Start Safety Switch on the transmission. Good luck.

Battery wont charge but has power, lights come on but it wont turn over

My first guess would be a bad connection at one of the battery posts, or a dead cell inside the battery.

I was driving home and the car just stop, the break light came on and the battery light came on as well, i tryed to boost it still wont turn over would it be the alternator ?

99% of the time when those 2 lights come on together then yes, the alternator is not charging. You should be able to jump off though. May have to let it charge off other vehicle for a few minutes. Also check cable connection. If it does start when you remove cable it will die. Computer will shut down vehicle when it has less than 12 volts. If need be you could put a fully charged battery in and drive for a short period with no headlights or accessories on.

Keyless remote wont work, vehicle completely shut down

Hi Russell,

Absolutely no power? No dome light? No head lights? Nothing?
When you step on the brake pedal, no brake lights?

If true, start at the source and pop the hood.

This is going to be a bit of back and forth dialogue. I'll ask some questions and you get me the answers. That way we can get to the root of the problem. To save time, I'll ask multiple questions at a time. Here goes.

  • Check the battery. Is it still there? (Valid question with no evidence of power)
  • Are the terminal clamps tight?
  • Are the terminals clean and free of corrosion?
  • Are all the belts in place and tight? (pay special attention to alternator)
  • If you have a voltmeter. test the voltage at the battery terminals. It should be +12.5VDC.
Try getting a jump, when the cables are attached does anything light up?
Does it turn over and start?
Does it do anything?

Comment me back with your findings

My vehicle dies everytime I turn it off...

how old is your battery, have you tried a new one?Sometimes a really stuffed battery also interferes with the ECU,and can result in switching things on and off.
