A/C and Heat Driver Side Intermittent Problem

2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 - DRIVER SIDE ONLY

During the summer, the A/C blows hot. This problem is intermittent. Sometimes, the A/C works properly.

During the winter, the Heat blows cold. This problem is also intermittent. Sometimes, the Heat works properly.

The Passenger side ALWAYS works properly.

What could be the problem?

    my heat coil is leaking

I took my 2004 Crew Cab to the dealer and they said the motor for the vent closest to the radio was about to die. In the summer it blows like I'm stuck in hell, but in the winter it blows out cold air like I'm at the North Pole. The dealer said it was about $250+ to fix it, so I will suffer for now

I have similar problem. In winter passenger side has heat but driver side is only blowing cold air. Fan works so can regulate more or less cold air. Is there a diagram or such to help locate and fix problem by myself. Is there a Manual or schmatic of vehicle heater system to identify part to order and how to remove panels.

Same thing happens to me with the heat in the summer time. Drivers side only. No Idea what it is.

You will need to replace your driver side temp actuator. It is most likely sticking or over travelling. It is located under the dash directly below the a/c control head. It is bolted to the a/c box upside down with two small bolts. Let me know if i can help more.

2004 Chevy Tahoe: I changed A/C blend door actuator on passenger side and it's still blowing heat on my driver side?

Does the vehicle have dual zone climate control, where the driver side and passenger side have different control? Sounds like a blend door issue on the driver side. Why did you replace the passenger side, was it blowing hot too when AC was on?

GM 2014 Silverado 2500 climate control blows hot air out of drivers side and cold air out of passengers side

You have a bad transition valve or disconnected vacuum line on said transition valve that moves the blend door open and or closed under the dash. If you have the heat on and heat only goes to driver side and still cold on passenger side, then the problem is at the passenger transition valve.

2004 2500 6.0 Silverado ac blows HOT on alternate sides of vehicle while in Auto A/C mode.

Douglass, Your A/C may have lost it's programming, blend door actuator could be faulty or A/C could be low on refrigerant. You may have to take in and have a good Tech. diagnose and estimate repair.

My 2004 Chevy only blows warm air on the passenger side my driver side is always cold. It has a dual air systems, but my A/C works great on both sides. What can i do to fix this problem ?

i am an owner also same vehicle there is a baffler in the center of the console next to the front window it you can find it cause there is a little hole you cn see this controls the air distribution to the driver side . i tried getting to it twice it is difficult to remove all that. Was close but ran out of time and gave up was quoted over $300
to repair if i removed the steering wheel it might have been easier to solve . good luck

2007 Chevy Silverado dual climate control, even if passenger side is not on it blows cold air on passenger side and hot on driver side when in heat mode, also noticed cold air on driver side when A/C is on...

Just had this happen today to my 2007 silverado heat on the right side cold air on the left side. After engine was off 15 minutes and restarted heat was on both sides. I'm guessing a relay failed to open door to allow the heat to flow thus blowing cold air.will monitor diligently for a while.

Heater only works on passenger side.

there is a motor actuator that moves these doors for hot and cold, two separate ones for either side. the motor unit for drivers side is no good and needs new one. replace this and all will be good.
