Lotus Esprit S4 NOT idling correctly
the se esprits the s4 and s4s series are programmed to speed up engine rpm and close off the exhaust back pressure valve to speed up the heating of the catalytic converter to operating temperature and is quite normal regardless of engine temp. if you quickly blip the throttle pedal a few times it should settle as the cat temp rises if that is the case then it is all working as normal.
Idle control valve is not
possible vacuum leak into the manifold (inlet) or dirty iac causing it to stick remove and clean if this improves it renew the iac as cleaning never works for very long. if a K&N air filter is used remove it is bad for oxygen sensor, catalyst and iac as oil residue from filter can build up in iac causing it to stick. If none of these help check voltage to iac and feel for clicking when ignition is turned on and off .
Where is the trunk release on the Lotus Evora S?
it is in and or under the back seat. put it toward the middle of the car. if not you will brake it and the truck will not close. So you might want to go to the dealer to find out if there is a fix now to get the cable replaced so if you try to open it the wrong way at least you can close the trunk
Evora. Where is manual trunk (boot) release button?
There is a manual trunk release that is inside the car near the rear seats. You must make sure to pull the release towards the tunnel/middle of the car, not out away from it. Apparently, a number of sales people have tried to demonstrate it and by pulling on it incorrectly, broke the inner workings leaving the trunk then incapable of latching closed. The repair is not simple. Something about the cable being encased in a tube that is not straight but curved, so that when you pull on it the wrong way, it breaks something. Lotus is redesigning that component.
Also note you may need someone to gently lift on the trunk as you pull the lever. It should be a yellow lever.
Engine light goes on than next day off
Normal operating temp for any car is 150-170 F, Your thermostat is set for these amounts, water boils at 220 F and coolant boils at 260 F, but the boiling of anything in there is not good, it creates pressure, something is going to give. Your radiator cap has a temp on it too, about 165. It will bleed off the pressure before it explodes. So, you can check your thermostat, they do freeze up, check your coolant, don't run straight water. and then check the inside of your radiator, they do clog up. Hope this helps.
02 MONTE CARLO LS When I turn the key to the ON position, if the turn signals do not flash the starter will not engage.
3.4L or 3.8L not told.
hot wired the starter solenoid you meant (a SOP act that) all techs do. and good input if yes.
when it failed to crank the next act is SCAN the PCM and let it tell you why it blocks cranking
I sure will. OBD2 scan tools any.
we check all fuses next. be a shame if 50 cent ATC fuse is cause.
Battery voltage does not drop below 11vcd cranking, 12.6v is charged (rested voltage)
well if the starter is dead fix that first, and the automatic trans, blocks the cranking , to the starter
if the car has bad PRNDL switch (fails in park) or alram in the cluster is active is it?
blinkers are last, you can still hand signal by law so fix the starter first.
no need to blink if can't drive or worse stranded with dead starter , how fun is that>?
Chevy. (no starter or GEN replacements right? with battery still connected. sure. not done wrong
the starter runs by the CRANK relay.
under hood relay and Logic runs its coil inside said relay via, BCM etc.
PCM crank fuse not blown.at N/M 11 slot.
the key switch at start , sends 12vdc to CRANK FUSE and that goes to PCM.
the PCM is told to crank, the start.
the car has tranny park cable if not calibrated, or bad, park does not happen and PCM sees that
and will not crank the car with P/N switch showing wrong.
4T65t transmission must be fully in to park and not failing P/N switch
not scanning the PCM first you miss all these facts.
if you have the M/T box now is the time to fess up. really.
here is the PCM connection to the A/T box
the signals are GGGG or 0000 volts DC.
if not the PCM block all cranking
if you scanned the PCM you'd already know this.
the PCM is smart to know that ******* codes from the switch must set a DTC error.
as you can see that it is 4 times safer to not to drive over the kids.
amazing no?
its al here to read

Start up g6 gt 2007 alternator smells. Like burning wire
You need to determine where the noise is coming from. Check your power steering fluid and make sure it is full. Remove your serpentine belt and see if the noise goes away, That will let you know if it is coming from the engine or an accessory or pulley bearing. If the noise goes away whith the belt removed, check the alternator bearing and pulley bearings. If the noise is still there whith the belt removed, that means it is either in the engine or transmission.

6 Speed Crafts Riding Lawn Mower LT1000 Why gear shift won't move out of any Speed?
Let's troubleshoot this problem step by step:
Linkage Adjustment:
The issue might be related to the linkage between the shift lever and the transmission. Sometimes, the linkage can become bent, broken, or jammed.
Inspect the linkage carefully. Look for any signs of damage or debris that might be obstructing its movement.
If you find any bent or broken parts, consider repairing or replacing them. Also, ensure that the linkage is properly lubricated according to the user manual.
Purging the Transaxle:
Try purging the transaxle to ensure smooth operation. Follow these steps:
Place the mower on a level surface away from any obstacles.
Turn off the engine and apply the parking brake.
Disengage the transaxle by moving the freewheel control to the disengaged position.
Check for Mechanical Obstructions:
Inspect the area around the gear shift lever and the transmission for any obstructions.
