Where is the trunk release on the Lotus Evora S?

The '94 Buick Park Avenue has a power trunk release function. The trunk release actuator receives power from the trunk release relay which is supplied by Fuse 2 (15A) in the Relay Center. It's important to note that the trunk release switch in the glove box must be ON for the trunk release button to work. The vehicle must also be placed into the Park or Neutral positions for the release function to be enabled. If the fuse is OK, there could be an issue with one of the switches, wiring or the trunk latch actuator. There is a manual trunk release that is inside the car near the rear seats. You must make sure to pull the release towards the tunnel/middle of the car, not out away from it. Apparently, a number of sales people have tried to demonstrate it and by pulling on it incorrectly, broke the inner workings leaving the trunk then incapable of latching closed. The repair is not simple. Something about the cable being encased in a tube that is not straight but curved, so that when you pull on it the wrong way, it breaks something. Lotus is redesigning that component.

Also note you may need someone to gently lift on the trunk as you pull the lever. It should be a yellow lever.

Is it possibly a safety feature?

US models such as my 1991 Lotus Esprit SE is to the left of the steering column at the bottom of the dash. Reach down and feel behind the dash there will be a rectangular pull or pivot which releases the hood.

it is poor design on behalf of lotus the resistor pack that controls the fan is mounted externally below the fan unit and subsequently gets wet corrodes and fails. it is a difficult job not for the faint hearted and requires **** shell removal. There is a lotus mod released to fix this fault i would suggest using it prevent future trouble. Speak to a lotus dealer or specialist.

Fold down rear seat and climb in the trunk....there is a manual release at the center of the trunk lid. (mandated by the government to kids don't get trapped in the trunk).
