Fisher & Paykel Pride 5.5 won't wash. It fills with water then starts to beep. I can advance it to the rinse stage so it drains the water, once the water is drained, it starts to beep again. The 3rd and 5th (Short wash) buttons light up green. The 7th button lights up orange, and the 8th (last) button (spin) lights up red.

Hi - the out of balance switch has activated this will be found under the lid right side if you bend lw enough you can see it hanging by a lever - it may have activated from the previous cycle - it needs to be freed - put it outside of the bowl and be sure its free to operate - if not it needs to be removed and replaced.

this sounds like the motor controller cant start the motor. I would be looking at the motor controller itself.
when it's filling with water, does the bowl go around slowly?

Check the pipes actually work first. Is there a hidden drain filter that is partially blocked? Dissasemble the pump and check it works and the blades inside are clean.

Fisher and Paykel Pride 5.5kg washing machine, everything works fine until you get to the spin cycle and then it just beeps and won't do anything more. What can I do to check or fix this?

My washing machine will not cut off on a high water level, but will on the medium. It will wash until it gets to the short wash and then it just beeps at me. I tried to advance it to the rinse cycle but the light just blinks and won't do anything more. It did drain the water out though. What's the problem and how do I fix it.
