Water pump breakdown for bissel crosswave

The water pump in a Bissell CrossWave is a vital component that is responsible for pumping water from the tank and through the cleaning brushes. If the water pump is not functioning properly, it can cause the CrossWave to perform poorly or not work at all. Here is a breakdown of the parts that make up the water pump in a Bissell CrossWave:
  1. Motor: The motor is responsible for driving the pump and is typically a small, electric motor.
  2. Impeller: The impeller is a small, rotating blade that is attached to the motor shaft. It helps to move water through the pump by creating a suction effect.
  3. Housing: The housing is a container that encloses the motor and impeller. It is typically made of plastic and is sealed to prevent water from leaking out.
  4. Inlet and outlet ports: The inlet and outlet ports are openings in the housing through which water enters and exits the pump.
  5. Seals: Seals are used to prevent water from leaking out of the pump and are typically made of rubber or a similar material.
  6. Gasket: The gasket is a flat, circular piece of material that is used to seal the housing to the body of the CrossWave.
If any of these parts are damaged or not functioning properly, it can cause the water pump to break down and may require repair or replacement. I recommend contacting Bissell or a professional repair service for assistance if you are experiencing issues with the water pump on your CrossWave.

I have a flotec pump in my spring house all it does is hum no water coming to my house is it shot

Hi Sally, i wouldn't say its shot. These pumps have 2 major parts to them an electric motor, (which i believe is why its humming) and a pump head. What can happen is the electric motor is completely fine but the pump has worn out. You can buy replacement parts for the head, but depending on age and model info may be difficult. My question is are you sure you have a water source that it is picking up? good luck

I just installed a us pool pump motor eb841 1hp 3450rpm 208volt 56y and it is leaking water behind the square bell housing actually leaking bottom side of motor

There is a leaky water seal on the pump shaft housing between the pump and the motor.
The drain hole prevents water from going into the motor and this seal needs to be replaced before the motor is damaged.

I have a FP 4022-10...it is relatively new but will not generate enough pressure to actuate power cutoff, so the pump runs till I unplug it. I have verified that the line to the lake is clear (water...

If you can meet your needs with the pressure you have now, reduce the pressure cut off switch pressure until it shuts off. Your housing is probabbly sealed to the motor. Try shocking it with a rubber mallet to break the seal.

My washer keeps flashing nd code -wondering if I need a new water pump

You likely need the drain pump cleaned. Unplug and pull the washer out. Remove cover in back. The pump is attached to the washer's floor. Pinch off the hose from tub to pump. There's going to be some water left in the pump and drain hose, so get a large towel ready. Remove screws attaching black piece (motor) to white piece (housing), pull out motor and clean the housing and motor impeller. Wear gloves, as it's always a nasty stuff what comes out. ;) Reverse steps to assemble the pump back together. If you don't hear pump running after completing all the cleaning, you may need to check the wiring and/or replace main control board located inside the console. If the pump seems to be running but no water is being drained - replace pump. for Maytag MAH5500B the part number is 25001052.

Good luck!

I have a coolant leak coming from the front of the engine. looks like it is leaking around the cam shaft pulley. The vehicle is a 2001 Nissan Frontier v6

Sounds like either the water pump or the thermostat housing. The water pump has a small hole in the bottom where the shaft comes through, when the water pump gets worn it will leak here so you know to replace the pump. The thermostat housing will be at the motor end of the upper radiator hose where it attaches to the motor. Hope this helps.
