My kenmore 17349 dishwasher is not cleaning properly. The door for the soap opens but all the soap doesn't get dispensed. 50% remains after the end of the cycle. We haven't changed soap and it used to dispense properly. It suggested to me the middle washarm was not spinning. As near as I can tell it is spinning.

is your soap door open when this happens if it is then make sure there's no water or other liquids in the dispenser from loading the washer one tablespoon of water in there will clump up the soap and it won't drop when it pops open

Dispenser door will not open

Hey friend, thank you for the post!

I understand that your soap dispenser door will not open on your Frigidaire dishwasher, LGBD2432LW0A. You could possibly be seeing an issue with soap dispenser not getting water into it to release the soap from dispensing. I would check to make sure there are no dishes blocking or obstructing the soap dispenser. You could also remove the soap dispenser to clean it and make sure there is no buildup of any previous detergent remaining that would cause the door to not open. If those steps do not solve the issue it could be a problem with the dispenser and I would recommend having a tech come out to the home to properly diagnose and repair the dishwasher. Hope this is helpful. -Matt

Hoover HD83 soap dispenser problem

My best guess would be a stick dispenser door. I believe this because if the timer was not working properly then the door would not open at all. I would decalsify the washer and if that doesn't work I would pull the door apart to see if there is somthing stuck in the dispenser that is jamming it up

Whirlpool quiet partner I soap dispenser won't close

Hi

Dishwashers use Bi-Metal strip to allow the dispenser to open/close. This strip when heat up causes the soap door spring to open up the dispenser. If this strip is not heated doesn't allow the door to open. The strip may not be getting 120V or maybe disconnected. Newer (plastic liner) dishwashers use a wax motor to open the soap dispenser. The plunger inside the wax motor slowly moves and pushes the plunger and door open. And, if this wax motor doesn't receive 120 volts, then it'll not work. Please check the voltage to the wax motor/Bi-metal strip; also inspect the connections to these.

Hope this helps...

The soap remains inside the dispenser, thus door opens up, but soap remains inside....just drips down the door.

What you have is a faulty cycle timer. Replace this and your dispenser will dispense the soap when prompted.

I just bought a used Kenmore standalone dishwasher and ran it for the first time. The dishes on the top did not get clean and the soap did not come out of the closed soup dish. at one point I took a shower...

The inlet filter is probably clogged. Try letting it fill up. Open the door to stop it right after it starts to wash Pour a gallon or two of hot water in and see it it works better Stop and do this everytime it goes to fill up. If the door opens , soap is used and dishes are clean ,clean the filter in the fill valve and possibly replace it. or the whole valve. (around $25) The soap door may be a seperate problem. I don't remember if Kenmore uses a spring or a small heat element to open the soap dispenser. Try cleaning it really well, shut the dispenser, open the door and turn the timer very , very slowly and watch to see if the dispenser opens. (WIth the door open the dishwasher will not run, but leave it plugged in.) It should open sometime during the cycle.
