I have comapq cq60 209tu. i have installed window xp on it but it did not support driver that i have.please tell me which type of driver i needed.

Please make sure to restart the laptop after installing the driver for changes to take effect.

In order to get drivers you are going to have to look at the devices you have installed and write them down. You may have to go to their websites for their drivers that they have for that particular operating system.

I suggest emailing lexmark and telling them u need a disc for a Lexmark X2550 printer. Maybe tell em yours didnt come with one when u bought it and be firm...or you can continue to try and download it from the internet.

Are you trying to install Windows XP on your laptop that has a SATA drive in the laptop?
And during the Windows XP install it cannot find a hard drive?

Go into your BIOS and turn off Native SATA support or set it to IDE controller (this setting depends on the type of BIOS). Save the setting and reboot and you will be able to install Windows XP.

You need to download and install the driver if you do not have the disk, on the system you find only some printers, the rest, like yours , will need the disk.

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
Afterdownloading,find the file,doubleclick on the file, if you get introubles ,then followinstructions below to reset and reinstall:

• Unplug printer USB.
• Go to control panel >> installed printers in Windows and remove (delete ) any installed printer from printer list.
• Download driver from website and run the file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Note:some printer does not work on Vista
