Google"RJ45 pinouts".There is some sight I found(free)that has connector pinouts for all kinds of stuff. There are several different ways to configure an RJ45(8 pin)jack, depending on the application.
Make sure an ethernet wire (CAT5) is connected from an active router or cable modem into your ps3. There are orange and green LED's on both your router and ps3. If they are blinking on the ps3 you know there is communication. Go into system -> network settings and run the auto configure. You should not have any more problems. Your CAT5 cable may need to be replaced if it old or has alot of kinks in it.
The systemax jack you reference should have a sticker showing the proper location to terminate each of the wires. Lay each wire in the matching slot once you have decided wheter to to use the 568A or 568B standard (makes no difference as long as both ends are wired the same. 568B is more common.) If you google "ethernet cabling" you will find dozens of sites with good illustrations to help you.
Found out the information thru this page. Its a diagram of the 15 pin VGA Pinout and where the pins are supposed to go and what there fuctions are, hope this helps. Page is courtesy of pinouts.ru
this link covers proper pinout for cat 5 cabling. (RJ45). A phone line is RJ11. You can run ethernet cable through a wall and terminate it at a wall plate designed for ethernet (not a standard phone wall plate). You can't use the RJ11 cable currently in the walls for ethernet.
describe your problem more correctly. As i`ve understood i`re trying to transmit 12V via standart UTP Cable? If it`s so - you can transmit 12V up to 40 meters length on this type of cable, if the current isn`t bigger than 2 A
