depend on tv input; if it's only one rca input mean is composite video; if are 3 rca input mean rgb video. so from dvd you need a scart to composite or rgb. on tv usually is AV or AUX channell. try to find a universal remote to select properly the channel. bye
Most DVD players are connected to one of the rear audio/video inputs--hook to that input and select it on the TV--then hit play and if connected correctly you will see the movie.
I have one of this tv model too.Just used a RCA component cables like Y,R,W hook one side to the tv Video IN INPUT holes and the VCR the other end of the cable to VCR Video OUT INPUT holes. Now just pushes a channel manual button up or down a couples for the tv go into VIDEO Mode.Play the dvd player it will work.Or try Remotes.com to buy a tv original remote.Return the universal remote.
Those modes you gave are for what TYPE of signal is comming in to the Cable/Antenna connector.
You need to switch from that input device to the other input device, the RCA plugs. These are often displayed as Aux or perhaps Line etc. It would help if you had the remote from the tv and were able to choose Aux or Line, or if it has TV/Video button. But if not, try channel button on the tv itself and go down below Ch 1. If using the cable remote to control TV, it may have a TV/Video button too. Maybe.
Good luck
Unfortunately you will not be able to switch input.
I also have a Sharp, I have tried 5 different universal remotes. None will switch input. I guess that function is not provided properly.
Good luck!
I believe you need the original remote to switch the input to video . I found the remote shown at PartStore.com with the original RCA part number 242524 at about $37.00 and also at MCMelectronics.com at around $31.00. There may be other sources also. Good luck.
